Day 20 is the closest this program comes to a flow. Six positions on the floor, 30 seconds each, both sides where a side applies. It starts lying on your back, knees bent and arms extended overhead along the floor, then draws one knee in to the chest with the other leg long, then sits up into a fold over one extended leg with the opposite foot tucked in.
The second half is where it becomes a sequence rather than a list. From all fours you push the hips up and back into an inverted V, heels reaching toward the floor and the head between the arms, which stretches the calves, hamstrings and the whole back at once. From there the hips lower and the chest presses up with the legs staying down, opening everything the previous position closed. And then you sit back onto the heels with the arms stretched forward and the chest sinking, which releases the lower back and the shoulders together. Up, open, down - three positions that answer each other in order.
In the supine reach, keep the lower back heavy toward the floor. In the knee to chest, keep the other leg long. In the seated fold, hinge rather than curl. In the inverted V, bend the knees as much as you need to keep the back straight and press the chest toward the thighs. Pressing the chest up, keep the shoulders down and the elbows soft rather than forcing the height. Sitting back, let the forehead rest toward the floor and breathe into the back of the ribs.
Three positions in a row that flow into each other - Day 20 is the one that feels like it was choreographed.
Make it Harder: Intensity is the wrong tool for a sequence like this - move slower between positions instead.
Make it Easier: Bend the knees in the inverted V and lift the heels as high as they need to go.
