Day 47 keeps the doubled side kick and puts a hand strike in front of it. Four 15-second intervals - backfist and double side kicks on the right, double side kicks on the right, backfist and double side kicks on the left, double side kicks on the left - three to seven sets, one minute of rest.
Where Day 35 paired a backfist with a single side kick and Day 43 opened with a jab and cross, today's combination is shorter at the top and heavier at the bottom: one whipping hand strike and then two kicks from the same leg without the foot setting down. That puts almost all of the cycle's weight onto one standing leg, and the backfist becomes what it should be - a fast opener rather than a rest.
Snap the backfist out and back with the elbow leading and let the hand return to guard before the knee chambers. Kick, re-chamber fully, kick again, then set down. Pivot the standing foot, keep the torso angled but controlled, and let the second kick be as long as the first even when it does not want to be.
One strike, two kicks, one leg holding you up for the whole thing - the balance tax has never been higher.
Make it Harder: Throw a backfist between the two kicks as well, so the hand works on both ends of the cycle.
Make it Easier: Set the foot down between the two kicks and treat the backfist as a separate strike before the pair.
