22 - Last Train

You throw yourself through the doors as they hiss shut. A shuriken meant for the back of your head thuds into the metal an inch from your ear. The train jolts and pulls away and the ninjas turn back into shadows in the crowd. You drop onto a bench. The carriage rocks. The lights flicker. Your head falls back against the window and for the first time in three weeks you sleep and you sleep like the dead.

When you open your eyes it is night. The train is standing still and the carriage is empty and silent. Through the window there is a platform and fog and nothing else. The doors are open. You step out onto the platform and the moment your feet touch it the doors close behind you and the train slides away into the dark. Of course it does.

It is cold. The fog is thick enough to taste. There is one street light burning at the far end of the platform and a man in a long coat leaning against the post under it. Great. Maybe he can help. You walk towards him. He lifts his head as you get close and smiles and the smile is far too wide and the teeth are far too long. He hisses and goes for your neck. Fight him off! If what you know about vampires is right, you only have to last until dawn.

Keep the vampire off your neck until sunrise. Punch, kick low, jump aside, punch again, step back and run for the light whenever you get the chance.

Has been a throughly enjoyable, painfree process, and is the only 'free' workout-adjacent anything I've ever found that lives up to the ideals of being free. It is a pure thing, a gem of the internet akin to wikipedia where what we as a culture had gained, just from having access to it, is immense. This site will change lives if it hasn't already and I cannot recommend it enough. I don't leave reviews, I don't glaze big companies and whatnot, but Darebee are some pioneers and deserve all the flowers in the world. The best workout platform in the world, bar none.
