Day 7 gets down on all fours and stays there - with excursions. The 30-second format returns: six poses, then the full sequence again on the other side. The lineup alternates a neutral all-fours base with two very different visitors: a balance hold with one arm and the opposite leg extended until the body forms a single line, and a threaded twist where one arm slides under the body until the shoulder and ear rest on the floor.
The two visitors pull in opposite directions, which is what makes the pairing work. The extended-limb hold is quiet effort - the trunk fights to stay level while an arm and a leg reach away in both directions, and thirty seconds of it is longer than it sounds. The threaded twist is pure release: the reaching arm wrings the upper back and the tissue around the shoulder blade, exactly what the balance hold just asked to work. Effort, release, and a neutral breath between them - then the whole conversation again with the roles swapped.
In the balance hold, aim the reaching heel and fingertips at opposite walls and keep the hips level with the floor rather than tipping open. In the twist, slide the arm through palm-up, let the head rest completely, and press lightly with the supporting hand to deepen the turn. In the neutral positions between, re-stack shoulders over wrists and hips over knees before the next excursion.
Balance on one diagonal, unwind the other - a week in, ZEN is already sneaking real work into quiet shapes.
Make it Harder: Extend the balance holds to 45 seconds while keeping the twists at 30.
Make it Easier: Keep both hands planted in the balance hold and extend only the leg.
