Day 25 is the Day 1 circuit grown up. Six exercises with no rest between them: 8 sit-ups, 8 sitting twists, 8 reverse crunches, 16 knee-to-elbow crunches, 8 leg raises and 8 scissors. Fifty-six reps a lap, then up to two minutes of rest before you go again.
Four of these exercises were on the very first card of the program, and the comparison is worth making. Day 1 asked for 4 sit-ups, 8 sitting twists, 4 reverse crunches and 4 leg raises inside a thirty-two rep lap; today the same movements run at 8, 8, 8 and 8 inside a fifty-six rep lap, with knee-to-elbow crunches added at sixteen. Nothing here is a movement you have not done. The only thing that has changed in four weeks is how much of it you can do in one go - and that, rather than any new exercise, is what a month of consistent ab training actually buys.
Late in a fifty-six rep lap the first thing to go is range, so guard it: sit-ups come all the way up, reverse crunches lift the hips clear, leg raises travel their full arc rather than fluttering near the top. Keep the lower back flat for the leg raises and scissors. On the sixteen knee-to-elbow crunches, keep the shoulders off the floor from the first rep to the last - the set is over when they come down, not when the count runs out.
Fifty-six reps in a circuit that opened this program at thirty-two.
Make it Harder: Stop the leg raises at a hover just off the floor instead of letting the heels land between reps.
Make it Easier: Anchor your feet under a sofa or a bed frame for the sit-ups and keep the rest of the lap as written.
