Day 59 is the final core card and it pairs every movement with its hold: 8 up and down planks, then a 12-count hold on your elbows; 12 side bridges, then a 12-count hold in the side plank; and 8 back extensions to close. One circuit, 2 minutes of rest, three, four or five times through depending on the level you pick.
This is the structure from Day 43 brought back for the finish, and it works the same way: the movement empties the muscle and the hold asks it to keep going anyway. Eight up and down planks is thirty-two transitions on your arms, and the elbow plank hold that follows lands on shoulders and abs that have just done all of it. Side bridges do the same for the obliques before their own hold. Back extensions then finish the entire core rotation face down, working the muscles along the spine - which is a fitting last word for a program that has spent sixty days making sure the front and the back of your middle got equal attention.
In up and down planks, hands under shoulders on the way up, feet wide, hips as still as you can keep them. Come straight into the elbow plank hold from the last rep without resetting - that transition is part of the exercise. Side bridges lift the hips into one clean line, and the hold that follows should sit at the height your best repetition reached. Back extensions lift the chest with the lower back and lower under control. Breathe through both holds.
The last core session of the program pairs every exercise with a hold, and holds have always been where this card type does its real work.
Make it Harder: Come straight into each hold with no pause and extend both of them to a 20-count.
Make it Easier: Take the second hold onto your bottom knee and keep the full 12 counts on both.
