The sit-up card returns at 120 each: 120 sit-ups and 120 sitting twists, counted in fives. Twenty-four boxes per exercise, forty-eight boxes on the day. Both numbers have grown by 50 since this card first appeared at 70 apiece.
Forty-eight boxes is the highest count of any card in the program, and the fives are what make it workable. A box here is five sit-ups, which is a commitment of about twenty seconds. Two boxes every half hour through a normal day clears the whole card without ever feeling like abdominal training happened. The two exercises still overlap heavily, so alternating them remains the sensible approach: the twists load the obliques and the hold, the sit-ups load the front, and swapping between them lets each recover.
Sit all the way up on the sit-ups and lower with control rather than dropping back. In the sitting twists, lean back to the angle where the abs are working, keep the chest open, and turn through the shoulders. As the boxes add up, the sit-ups will start to want a little momentum - resist that by slowing down instead of speeding up, and take the extra few seconds per box.
Two hundred and forty reps of trunk work, arriving five at a time all day long.
Make it Harder: Reach your hands past your feet at the top of every sit-up.
Make it Easier: Anchor your feet under something solid for the sit-ups and keep the pace unhurried.
