Stand on one leg with a soft knee and the other foot tucked up behind you. Push off sideways and land on the other leg, letting your free leg sweep behind you and your arms swing across your body for balance - like a speed skater carving from edge to edge. Absorb each landing through a bent knee, find your balance, and push off again. Stick every landing before you leave it; the pause is where the control lives.
Works: glutes, quads, calves, hips
Breathing: Steady and rhythmic, exhaling with each push-off.
Common Mistakes: Landing stiff-legged with a locked knee, letting the landing knee cave inward, and rushing the rhythm so the balance never settles between jumps.
Make Easier: Step across from side to side instead of jumping, keep the jumps short and low, or build up with Hops: Side-to-Side first.
Make Harder: Jump wider and lower into each landing, touch your hand toward the landing foot for extra depth, or move on to Jumping Lunges for more explosive leg work.
