Flaxseed Cocoa Bites

These tasty bites provide a quick chocolate-like snack. They are quick and easy to make and they are high in protein and fiber and loaded in omega-3s. You can use either cocoa or carob powder for the chocolate flavor and experiment with spices to get it just right for your tastebuds.

INGREDIENTS1 cup ground flaxseeds
¼ cup carob flour or cocoa powder
4 dates or 2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
¼ cup water

Level UpAdd ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon, ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg powder, ⅛ teaspoon cardamom powder and ⅛ teaspoon paprika

Instructions

1If you have a blender: place everything together in a blender or a food processor and blend until combined.
If you don’t have a blender: Cut dates into tiny pieces and add all ingredients to a bowl. Mix with your hands until combined.

2Form bite-size balls. The mix makes roughly 7-8 balls.
