These tasty bites provide a quick chocolate-like snack. They are quick and easy to make and they are high in protein and fiber and loaded in omega-3s. You can use either cocoa or carob powder for the chocolate flavor and experiment with spices to get it just right for your tastebuds.
½ whole (or 1 cup ground) flaxseeds
¼ cup carob flour or cocoa powder
4 dates or 2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
¼ cup water
⅛ teaspoon cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon nutmeg powder
⅛ teaspoon cardamom powder
⅛ teaspoon paprika
