I finished week 19, including 176 uneven or box pistol squats and 80 close squats.
The challenge is truly great, but I'm afraid this is where I have to bow out.
I am transitioning to uneven squats and box pistol squats aiming to single leg squats. For me they require much more strength, it is too much for me accruing all the remaining reps to complete each week doing normal squats.
It's harder and harder for me to add so many normal squats to my training on a daily basis. I've been using them as a warm-up and as a finisher on my lower body days, as well as a through-the-day on the upper body and sometimes even on rest days, but my legs are always somewhat sore. I need to focus on the uneven reps with some real rest in between.
It was still a great ride and I'm very happy that I did it. Thanks bees, and all the best for finishing the challenge.
