        On the bar, again.
Some short deads and 10 slow negatives.
        It felt good.

I try to progress real slowly, to get back savely this time.

                  +50 (30 on Friday and 20 today)

                  Current count: 300/3600

Meaning that so far I am able to maintain my average monthly pull-up count to reach my goal (300x12=3600). Let's see what future brings in this regard.

                    Ie. In the beginning it was like: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1

                    Then I slowly climbed up to 3, 2, 3, 2, 2, 4, 2, 2, 1

                    And then to: 3, 2, 3, 3, 5, 2, 2, 2, 1

                    etc.

Lately I can see that I can do more frequently things like: 3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5 (that was my today's session for example), where the higher rep number is the norm, if you know what I mean?

                    Happy about it!
Then I suppose your max is actually around 10 inbetween if you would go all out from the start and avoided pacing yourself.
                    good job so far!

xingyiquan that sounds encouraging!!! thanks!!! maybe I should try it! My max so far is 7 (it happened once, but I haven't been really so focused on trying it frequently), so maybe you're right?

I'll try it any time soon and I'll let you know

Maxing out is teaching stuff too. Once done with your goals you can return to low reps and it will teach you other things. Look I mostly train with 3 rep but it is not a tenth of my max but both bring me different things (one is good for my mind and ego while the other is good for my health- both are good to have )

xingyiquan I guess I need to wait for another occasion because this week I haven't been feeling my best. I wanted to try it today but nope, 5 was my max and instead of going all out I did many sets of 2-3 reps. Since I didn't feel very powerful in terms of maxing out, at least I made sure I did many reps altogether And that's a fine option as well so no regrets

+50 since last post (10 on Thursday and 40 today)

inbetween it is not so much about a rep max tentative than to train to gain more reps when you will try it versus training for a maintenance or for health only.
