i read this week about hospitals in the US & Australia hit by ransomware. One hospital has shut down, completely. The others are only in a position to stabilize the most critical cases brought to the ER. All other functionality for those hospitals has ceased. Ambulances are being told to take patients to other locations.

So many things in how you prepared for and handled this attack are so masterfully done, especially considering this is a full-time passion project but not your day job. Cyber security is my day job and I am in awe of your disaster recovery plan.

    Long Live Darebee!

As some of the others said: Tracking is really nice, but not important. If it raises the costs and is a danger for the website (and worries the Darebee team), I don‘t need it.

Thank you so much for your hard work lately and putting effort on everything you do. I understand if the folders and the tracking is not safe enough to prevent future hacks. I wouldn’t mind if there wasn’t a replacement but it would be nice. Looking forward on the new updates.

                LONG LIVE DAREBEE..

As long as the articles, pdfs (programs, challenges & workouts) and HIVE are there.. I am absolutely okay with the way DAREBEE is..
Security is important and as long as some functionality (ease of use) has to be foregone to achieve that at lesser cost of maintenance.. That is absolutely OKAY...

We trust in the decisions that DAREBEE team takes and we will stand by those..
Thank you for all the work..
Cannot wait to see that new section..

Just Donated after seeing how hard you've all been working through this difficult time. (And for having such a wonderful service in general.)

Long live DAREBEE & Long live the HIVE.

The hive log and community is the most important thing here for me (aside from the primary resources). For a short while I considered using the hive search to tally up my daily dares (only works if you posted each time you did one), but there may be other ways for people to rediscover certain information without formal tracking.

Infinitely grateful that you guys have the hive back (and all the primary resources) so quickly. It's just really been sinking in how valuable daily hive posts are (maybe I should also separately keep a backup though I have the major milestone dates memorized).

Thank you guys for all the work you have done and are doing, thank you in advance for what you announced is coming soon
take care of yourselves, I'm enjoying the Hero's journey program (my pecs and quads are not enjoying as much, today) and looking forward to what you are preparing in spite of the attack. Regarding the tracking... oh, well, I just needed a nice excuse to buy another nice paper notebook...

Phew, I honestly thought the news would be way worse, but DAREBEE lives on. That's the most important thing. The lost functionality on the main site is quite a bummer, but it's not that bad. The functionality of the main site I couldn't live without are the absolutely fantastic workout filter (I love it so much, whoever made it deserves a medal ) and the timer and set tracking for individual workouts. While folders and the program tracker were useful it's something I can live without.

And here I'm once again blown away by the dedication of the wonderful Team. TWO NEW programs?! Have I read that correctly? I mean that's just insane. And I'm also very excited about the new section for the website. I really want to know what it is.

It's terrible that the hack happened at such an inconvenient time, but I have faith in everyone working around the clock, bringing us what is probably one of the best websites on the internet.

Long Live DAREBEE! It's spirit can't be crushed. It will live on.

If the previous functionality is no longer option could we go back to the old way of tracking programs and DDs via cookies? I don't know what makes the site vulnerable but if we could have that back then that would be helpful for most of the functionality. We can still bookmark instead of using folders and the cross-device tracking was nice but not essential, we were used to it until a couple of years ago after all. Even if not, I'm glad the main bulk of the site is safe and appreciate all the work you've been doing to keep it functioning securely

Out of curiosity, if the main site login system was the issue, is the Hive safe from being attacked in the same way? (Or as safe as you could expect anyway.) I know they're separate systems, are they completely different systems?

You are doing great. Tracking is nice but not necessary. I remember Darebee from before the set counter was installed, and guess what, using scraps of paper for counting sets did not detract one bit from the workouts. New programs are always exciting, but we also want to know our beekeepers are at least marginally sane and borderline not-burnt-out. So breathe, relax, cry your tears, eat your chocolate. We can wait.
