    So, we got hacked.

    So, we got hacked.

...Who would do such a thing to a non-profit resource? Alas.

As you may have guessed we are in RED ALERT state. We are currently in the process of locking down the site and checking files. Multiple services will be disabled but access to the website should still remain. We have multiple backups in place (now who is complaining about the extra hosting costs, hah?) so we cannot be permanently taken down. We are concerned over how it was done so we are looking to prevent this from happening in the future. In any case, we are dealing with this.

Since this is a restored version of the website you will see some of your posts from a couple of hours ago may have disappeared. That was unfortunately inevitable.

Thank you so much for understanding.

    Long Live DAREBEE!

That's bad, and I am sorry to hear that. I was trying to go to Darebee on my phone. A red screen popped up and it said something like "all your files were encrypted" and I had to pay $15 to get a key to access the website. I thought my phone was infected by virus but suddenly I could go to the website again without anything being solved on my side.

No worry at all about posts. I feel more than grateful for simply be able to reaccess to Darebee, and for knowing that my phone isn't the one being infected/ hacked.

Thank you for your hard work!

I'm not writing what I think about those idiots who hacked this site because I don't want to swear in public... but I'm really doing it in front of my screen

I wondered what was going on when I got on this morning to do my program and got the ransom message. Hackers should be tracked down and hung by their thumbs while bamboo slivers and shoved u dear all other nails.
