In three days Video Dares are going Alpha and we would like to hear your thoughts on the initiative so far.
Have you found Video Dares useful? Do you think it's a good addition to the DAREBEE resources? Do you access Video Dares on YouTube?

Not really useful, I think having posters is enough

I think it's actually important to watch, at normal and slow speeds, how to correctly make each movements

I've been here for a while, so I usually know the movements and can do them with proper form, so I don't really need the videos most of the time. But I can say I would have definitely appreciated them when starting out, and from time to time, when you post some unusual exercise for the DD, I could really use a video even nowadays. So I think it's worth doing, even if it was just for the sake of beginners.

It honestly depends on personal preference. For some of them one could easily figure out how to do the exercise just by looking at the poster or using the video exercise library, but for others it's a little more necessary if you're confused on what you're supposed to do, so a video of it can help clear things up a bit. Either way, watching the Video Daily Dare and doing the exercise along with it is probably a pretty good motivator for a lot of people, it's almost like a DVD work out.

I like watching Video Daily Dares. So I correct some of the exercises that I do when training, because watching the posters of each session is not enough.

The daily dares are very prominent on the front page, so a new person who is visiting the site for the first time will get a good first impression if, just by clicking on the dare, they will get directed to a forum that contains a video for the dare. This is inviting.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say it makes the daily dares more... accessible.

I don't do the daily dares, but I really like the concept of these videos. Thank you for all your hard work.

Thanks a billion to DB Team for making these available. Since I know nothing (!) about exercising after all these years, I can direct my son to the DD Videos, so that he can perform the exercises with a good form without me bugging him non-stop (and I won’t get frustrated as we exercise together).

                Cheers.

I think it’s a great feature. I use the videos even on exercises I am familiar with just to make sure my form is correct (range of motion/speed/etc)

I’m just worried about the workload the team puts on itself

I find the new videos very helpful. I find I hold the visual image of Neila or David in my mind, and it's like having a personal trainer.

I find it helpful w unfamiliar things. But, to reduce workload, it would also work to link to exercise library for those things that are already recorded

I really like the videos. It certainly helps with form for the less familiar moves. But a short how-to video and a timer would also be effective. Therefore, links could be made to existing footage and new videos can be made for anything we don’t already have... and the DB team won’t have to work themselves to death for the rest of us.

It helps especially for the dailies that you aren't sure how to count them like the twists or circles

The new feature helps me not to forget about DDs - with the YouTube channel alert, I have an everyday notification
