                    Saturday turned into a calm day on the lake with mostly sunshine. We walked the kayaks down to the boat launch for the first paddle of the year. It was fun to be out on the water.

                      Spent Sunday morning working around the house, going out for a hike later in the afternoon. This hike was a little shorter then we have done the last few weekends, half the elevation gain of last week. It was a nice walk in the woods close to the house.

                        Today was a transition day. C25K is the only challenge I have going right now. I will start something new tomorrow. I'm sticking to the C25K Week 3 plan I made last week. Intend to repeat Week 3 this week, running Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

                              Thanks JCU and DorothyMH. I'm glad to have them done because they took too long to complete.


                              It's a new Day 1. I hope to finish these by the end of May. My focus is still on running. I will continue my slow progress through C25K. I have sort of turned it into a 16-week challenge. I should add hip and knee strengthening workouts to a few of the days between runs. I may be getting early signs of a pattern or schedule going: run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, knee strengthening workout Tuesday and Thursday, and weekends for hiking paddling and house/garden work.

                                It always feels good to do Day 2 of new programs. Often when I do a Day 1 I don't really know if I will stick with the program or not. I suppose the entire first week is tenuous. Today's run went well. I added a hill that hit right at the start of the second 3-minute run. I had to walk the last minute of the interval, It was still up hill though not as steep as at the start. The rest of the run went really well. I finished feeling strong. That is always a good sign.
