Eek, that sounds like an unpleasant run. But hey, you still finish it!

NancyTree Rissa It is all good, at least such days remind me that choosing to focus on fitness is not always pleasant, but sometimes an ordeal, and that it is just part of the process.

Mostly did a rest day today. In the evening I did De-Stress Stretching, Wrist Mobility and Micro Break. I also did 100 pushups.

It was a fairly hectic day at work, so I ended up with over 15,000 steps.

Family is still in town, so I ended up doing yoga as a rest day. I had one last level 4 upper body workout to do from the list that I am working through, so I decided to do it tonight. I decided to add on the newest yoga workout as well. I did Sun Salutation (level II) and Lovenote. For the first workout I skipped the handstand with bending legs, as was suggested as a possibility in the workout. I liked this workout though as it incorporated pushups into the flow, so I got ten pushups from this workout, and then added 90 more.

In the morning I did a 5.8 km run. It was better than the last run, though still on the chilly side, at 2 degrees with a decent wind making it feel colder at times. At least I managed to miss the rain by several minutes. I ran it in 32:54.

Work was fairly busy once again, and with the run I added up to over 21,000 steps for the day. This put me at over 382,000 steps for the month. I will add the steps to World Walking when I get the chance. I should finish off Iceland in the app with these steps and move on to something new.

Some of the level 1 upperbody workouts are on the easy side, and meant for people to do at work. I am typically on my feet most of the day, so it is not an issue in terms of me being stuck at a keyboard, but I still did Keyboard Warrior today at four different times. It is mostly just some basic stretches for the hands, but I might try to repeat them from time to time.

In the evening I did Banshee (level I) and then added 40 pushups.

I was about to remark that it was an excellent close-up of a bird until I saw the handle! Those paintings are really good, hey?

Your bird photos are amazing! (:

TopNotch motionaction The first time that I cropped these pictures, I took out everything so it was just the picture. After looking at it, I was concerned that people would think that it was my own, so I cropped again and left in the signs that it was evidently not my own picture. I do go to this neighbourhood fairly frequently, because on the condition that I run first, I get a cheat meal out of the process (usually a cinnamon roll and chocolate milk). The first time I saw the bird picture I thought it was a one-off, but apparently there are more bird electrical boxes for me to find.

Today was less active than usual during the day, though I still got over 10,000 steps.

In the evening I did Marauder (level I) and Posture. I added 55 pushups to make it to 100.

Cool picture! I also thought it was real until I saw the handle and nail going through the bird. I think it's awesome they have such details in environment planning

                    NancyTree Thanks!

I did things a little different today as I took the boys to the playground after they woke up from their afternoon nap. I did Duck & Swing (level I) while I was there. As usual I measured how many pushups I do in ten seconds and then just aimed for that number instead of going with the timer each time. I might have made EC, but the boys kept distracting me enough that I didn't really get the sets done in a timely manner. Getting there and back helped me get over 10,000 steps for the day.

Later I did Rainmaker and added 30 pushups to make 100.

Busy day at work, as I ended up with over 16,000 steps.

In the evening I did Pendragon (level I, EC) and Vortex (level I, EC). I added 40 pushups to make it to 100.

It was not as busy at work today, so I ended up with over 11,000 steps for the day.

In the evening I did 100 Push-Ups and Stapler. Strangely despite doing 100 pushups a day for most of the past twenty months, I had never done the first workout before.

A very weird day at work today, for what should have been an easy day, filled itself up with random chaos. It was not a busy day for me though physically as I registered just over 10,000 steps.

I am thinking that I am going to start training towards some specific goals instead of just training in general, and to do so would mean following a training plan. Training plans are set up to incorporate more light days with harder training mixed in. I am still not certain how I am going to make this fit with my work schedule (though I start a new schedule on Sunday), but it will presumably mean that I train a bit smarter. That said, I don't think that I am going to try to maintain my 100 pushups per day minimum, though I am still going to be doing a fair amount of pushups as it is something that I will be training towards. It also helps that I broke my year and half long streak of doing at least 100 pushups per day midway through last month, so I am less protective of such streak now (not to mention that I could do 0 pushups for two thirds of a year and still be averaging more than 100 since I started). All of that said, as today was going to be somewhat of a rest day for me, I decided to skip the pushups today and I just did two lighter workouts, Backup & Restore (EC) and Fallback.

Looking forward to seeing your new plan. Plan-making is such fun!

TopNotch I already know what I am going to train for, just have to figure out how and when to start. You are right though, it is fun.

I went for a 6.7 km run this morning through an adjacent neighbourhood. The temperature was decent, around 4 degrees at the start and 6 degrees at the end. Almost all of the snow is gone now, and it is supposed to start raining heavily overnight, so probably the rest of it should be gone soon as well. The run wasn't particularly noteworthy, just on streets, though I did briefly get to run beside the river.

It was a busy enough day at work today, and with the run I ended up with over 15,000 steps. I skipped training in the evening as I had done the run in the morning and was sticking with the same idea as yesterday, not going in on anything too hard before I figure out my new plan.

I keep having somewhat bad luck when it comes to available days for running. Yesterday was not too bad, but as expected, today was a very rainy day. I was going to do a run in the morning in one of my regular neighbourhoods, but it was raining pretty heavily by the time that I got there. I was considering just not going, but instead I just cut some of the distance. Instead of over 5km, I ended up at 3.4 km. I didn't do the timer right, so I didn't get an accurate time, but it was around 21 minutes.

After canceling once previously because of a late cancellation from a babysitter and once because of the whole family getting sick, my wife and I finally got to the Nordic spa tonight. This had been a long time coming, as I had bought her a gift certificate for her birthday in November, and we only got around to doing it today. This falls more under mental health than physical health, but we were there for about 2.5 hours in various parts of the facility. From what I can recall there was a halotherapy room, a steam room, two different saunas, a smaller outdoor sauna, numerous warm pools, a meditation room and a cold water pool. My favourite part was standing half immersed in the warm pool while standing with arms outstretched just letting the rain fall on me (it was around 5 degrees outside). It is not very often that we get to enjoy the rain. In a lot of the rooms we were just practicing deep breathing/meditation, but on a few different occasions I did some pushups just to get the blood flowing and the breathing more pronounced and ended up with 100 by the end of the day.
