Thank you, Silent Wolf , Rissa !

    Tuesday, Feb 8

    Midday
    -- 22 km run
    -- stretching

    Night
    -- warmup
    -- Day 4 of Epic Five | abs & core | epic
-- 56 bicep extensions | Day 8 of Easy Arms
    -- Day 5 of Ironheart | lowerbody | 6 kg
    -- stretching and foam rolling
    (Σ: 34 min)

The main purpose of this run was to try my new hydration vest (Salomon Adv Skin 8, the one specifically for women). I've never had a more comfortable long run! At first the straws to the flasks seemed too long, but I either got used to them or they got into the right position as I was running. I'm glad, because though I saw some advice about how to cut them, I'd rather not risk ruining them. But all those pockets of the vest! And it was much easier to get things in and out of them mid-run than I expected. I will definitely wear this vest for every long run from now on.

Glad the vest is working well!

        Before breakfast
        -- 3 km easy run

        Late afternoon
        -- Back & Core | lvl III | 1 min rest
-- 5 min raised arm hold | Day 5 of Epic Five | epic

        -- Skydiver | lvl III | 1 min rest
        -- Day 6 of Ironheart | reset
        -- foam rolling and stretching

I've been doing my workouts alone since my boyfriend decided to go to the gym instead. We have very limited space in the flat, and while I'm small enough to be able to do almost any exercise, but the same can't be said of him. So now I have the dumbbells all for myself, and I don't have to change the plates before I start my workout.

                Thank you, stongecat !

I haven't posted here for almost a week, but at least I could finally catch up with the logs of other Bees! Or almost, I still have a bit of reading to do in the Hive. There were many threads that I follow where I hadn't visited since well before Christmas… It feels nice to be up to date with what all of you have been doing lately.

I still run almost every day. I've signed up for a marathon race in October, but I won't start training specifically for that until May. But I still need a training plan -- I always do -- and I decided that, after getting a half marathon PB and before starting to train for a marathon, it would be a nice change to follow a 5K plan. So that's what I do, and maybe that'll get me a PB as well.

I still do my other workouts too, of course. I didn't miss any days of Ironheart or Epic Five. Not all days of the latter were epic though: push-ups got me again.

I'm still doing well. I've finished the February Easy Arms challenge, and there are only a few days left of both Ironheart and my second round of Epic Five. After those I'll start the new cardio programme. It looks easy both at first glance and based on others' accounts, but I don't think I'll make it harder by skipping rest or otherwise. It seems that my sole goal for working out is working out, and I'm already doing enough, so I can afford a somewhat lighter month. Especially since after getting through High Gear unscathed, I'm now eyeing the other difficulty 4 programmes… I need a bit of rest before one of those.

I'm still running, too. I skipped two or three runs in the past two weeks due to either being busy or being tired. Laziness was never a reason, so I'm proud!

The only thing I'm still procrastinating on is getting my career forward by practicing interpreting and language skills and preparing for a course in simultaneous interpreting. But I'm working on getting myself to work on it!

                    Congrats on Easy Arms
Your running plan seems solid and I hope you can get to the marathon with confidence. You can definitely have an easier month.

simultaneous interpreting?! ouch! That requires high focus and fast thinking so I'm sure you'll be great at it

                            TBD
                            -- running
                            -- walking

I might not go for both a run and a walk, having gone to bed at half past 1. The travel agency now obviously regards me as a dependable translator, which isn't only shown by my slightly elevated quarterly bonus, but also the fact that my phone keeps ringing. As a result, work piled up a little bit, but I didn't want to leave it for the weekend since I'm supposed to meet some friends whom I haven't seen in a very long time.
