Walking to Running - Ran out of time today because I had another lovely walk (5.2km) up the Hill, this time taking some trails I'd not taken before. One funny incident occurred: A magpie was standing by the track and I stopped to get a happy-snap. I knelt down to take the picture. The magpie looked at me, then raised his head, opened his throat and called. Within moments, from all around, out of a previously empty landscape, 18 more magpies landed all around me, in a few of the trees and on the grass, surrounding me. Thoughts of Alfred Hitchcock popped into my mind!After all, magpies are not vegetarians! But I moved on, unmolested, with a phalanx of magpies watching me go...

DorothyMH Prior to Omen, I had Insanity - who had to be put down because a virus was eating away his brain lining. Then I got Entropy - who had a wasting disease. I began to think names were a self-fulfilling prophecy, so I named my next (well, second next because Cody was still around) cat, Omen, intending for a Good Omen - not Damien! She generally was a Good Omen, actually. Looking for a kitten now but there are none (strangely) around at the moment. Wonder what I'll call her (think I'd rather get another girl, but then again, my last boy was a great sook...)

Chair Rows (day 6) Already that ten seconds doesn't seem as long. Or perhaps that's just today!
Bruce Lee (day 5) - 140 kicks, 140 punches. Nice. Oh, and 40 push-ups.

Lunges after squats? I couldn't walk!

working on week two. Must say that the information I'm getting has made me think more carefully about my own exercise activities and goals!
DD with EC (#93). Total DD = 94. Funny thing is, without the usual DD page, I don't feel the same drive get EC - I really have to make myself not take the easy route.

I had a cat prior to Chelsea whom my sister named Joplin, after Janis Joplin and she died after I chose to believe the stupid vet. I'm not naming anyone or anything after someone from the "the 27 club" ever.

Walking to Running (day 13) Got so stuck into it that when I'd finished the prescribed 15 minutes, I did another 10 minutes on the treadmill, 1 walking and then 1 running until minute 7 when I did 2 running and then a couple of cool-down minutes of walking. Peculiar!
Chair Rows (day 7) 9 - 8 - 7 Still improving but it was a struggle. But every little movement forward is a movement forward!
Bruce Lee - not today.

Bent over Flys: 8 - 8 - 8 - 8 - 8 Even with the middle weights, these were just!! I'll just say I was having a week(weak!) day.

Had a lovely walk this afternoon. It was a pleasant temp - about 23 degrees - with a fairly stiff breeze. Walked 5.5 km up (and back down) the Hill.
