          Day 53

          Challenges:
          Abs of Steel (day 4)
          No Salt (day 26)
          Splits (day 21)
          1min Plank (day 22)
Ninja (day 13) I nearly "cheated" today. I had to do a plank, but I also had to do one for the above challenge. So why not just combine the two? But I resisted the temptation and did both planks sequentially. Hey, I was already down and planking, so I might as well just stay there and do a longer plank. And that actually felt quite good.
Dead Hang Challenge Still not able to do this one. Built some IKEA cabinets instead.
Daily Gratitude (day 4) And today's biggest one - it's raining!! A lot!!!

          Programme:
          day 4 Baseline

DD with EC (#52) Total DD = 53.

Today's DD gave me 296 to add to We are fighting... I was a bit worn out today and haven't done any push-ups, but I've still made the weekly count for The Pushers with 138. I'll blame those cabinets - a real upper body and abs workout!!

            Day 54

            Challenges:
            Abs of Steel (day 5)
            No Salt (day 27)
            Splits (day 22)
            1min Plank (day 23)
            Ninja (day 14)
            Dead Hang Challenge Ditto yesterday.
            Daily Gratitude (day 4)

            Programme:
            day 5 Baseline

            Workouts:
Just for fun, as I haven't done one for a while, I decided to do a workout today, and chose Perfect 10. It was fun. Also did Calves Rehab.

DD with EC (#53) Total DD = 54.

Training tonight had n appalling amount of burpees. Well, okay, it was 10, but still! And straight after 20 push-ups, clapping hand with opposite partner! Still, I pulled through! Phew.

I developed my theory on Burpees: they never become easy, you do them more, you do them faster but they never become easy
There was a period that I did a tabata workout with only burpees and I noticed that after only 4 minutes of training, 8 sets 20 sec burpees 10 sec rest then I kept panting for at least the next half hour

Fremen, I second your burpee theory!

It's strange because it feels like you have to train to be able to do burpees, not that they are training.

                    No Salt (day 28)
                    Splits (day 23)
                    1min Plank (day 24)
                    Ninja (day 15)
Dead Hang Challenge Ditto yesterday. I'm going to have to restart ths one once all the reno material has gone!
                    Daily Gratitude (day 5)

                    Programme:
                    day 6 Baseline

                    Workout:
Calves Rehab again. Always good to keep those calves in good order.

DD with EC (#54) Total DD = 55.

I have previously mentioned how tedious I found doing all the leg raises in the Splits challenge, but I have persisted for two reasons: one, I'm not a quitter; and two, it should be doing me good. Well, tonight at training (pretty much one-on-one again with the lovely R), I had to perform a side kick (with a 180 degree rotation of supporting foot) with a side punch, arm and leg being parallel to each other, and relatively slow. R remarked on it, saying that she could see I had the strength to hold the kick extension and I proudly said that it was because I was up to 480 leg raises now on my DAREBEE challenge. She asked me to send her the link.

It is a challenge that I am keeping an eye on for the next month, in this I am doing the Flexibility Challenge
In the end it becomes really long to do in terms of time but it certainly brings so much training results

Fremen I cannot honestly recommend the Splits challenge as a fun workout, because really, it's quite dull. And hard because of the number of reps. But it has become quite clear to me that it is an effective workout, and if you're after particular results (for me, it's really been to improve my side kicks, and if my splits get better, that's an added bonus), then this workout is one that you're just going to have to set your teeth for, and go for it! I watch lots of YouTube!!

                          Day 56

                          Challenges:
                          Abs of Steel (day 7)
                          No Salt (day 29)
                          Splits (day 24)
                          1min Plank (day 25)
Ninja (day 16) Today I exhibited willpower.
                          Daily Gratitude (day 6)

                          Programme:
day 7 and 8 Baseline Did 2 days because at the moment, the reps aren't so high.

                          Workout:
That Workout I Promised I've been wanting to give this one a go for a while and finally got around to it. It was worth waiting for because I found it a bit of fun! I'm rather fond of sitting twists but I think perhaps I ought to do them with a medicine ball to incease my effort. And bicycle crunches are just a bit of a lark - I could do them forever. Well, probably not, but...

DD with EC (#55) Total DD = 56.

                            Day 57

                            Challenges:
                            Abs of Steel (day 8)
                            No Salt (day 30)
                            Splits (day 25)
                            1min Plank (day 26)
Ninja (day 17) Today I was agile. And those side-to-side jumps are really fun! I could have just kept going with them.
                            Daily Gratitude (day 7)

                            Programme:
day 9 and 10 Baseline Two days again.

                            Workout:
Cardio Cross + Choice between this one and Cardio Cross which was really a choice between bicep curls and push-ups. I love bicep curls...

DD with EC (#56) Total DD = 57.
