    Today's DD, EC

    P_30 days of HIIT_3

    Super charge

    Building towards shoulder foot taps (balance on shoulders and tap feet/hips from side to side). Started with high bridges, then walked them...exorcist style. Rolled a bit to find my balance points. Got some single foot taps happening. Then tried some doubles (two feet) and got a couple out then came apart when my feet pushed rather than tapped...on a small person's sock.

    Ad lib yoga flow

    Afternoon:

    Since balloon animals were not on the cards today (CaptainCanuck ) for my variety quota.
    I instead tried Wrestler followed up by some more ad lib yoga.
    Worked it as reps of 20 through 6 exercise sets rather that blocks of 60 reps across 3 sets per exercise.
    The squats were done as frog hops.
    Will definitely be adding to my sheet as it was a lot of fun. Will try as blocks next time.

      Today's DD, EC. I prefer alternating punches. Blocking sides feels like I'm working on developing a nervous tick.

      P_30 days of HIIT_4, I got a new timer. One that does varying intervals! You know you have reached a special place in your life when upgrading timers is exciting.
      I'm glad I went for nuclear grade toe strapping. Burpees really get your heart moving. The timer is so good.

      Viper, sweat everywhere now.

      Stronghold, long discussion with a small person about our shared goal of improved hamstring length. Followed by said small person showing some 'easy' stretches...these included a really nice L-sit (and walking it) and crane pose. Feelings of inadequacy in my court right now!

        Little kids really rock the bodyweight stuff, don't they? It sure helps to weigh next to nothing!

          I have skinny kids and they rock anything yoga related. Probably doesn't hurt that their grandmother is an instructor!
          Still trying to teach them to do a sensible push up. Honestly, who knew a spine could bend in so many places!

            Today's DD, Extra EC...my arms are so unhappy as this was more like 1min + 3min as I moved to find better furniture.

            P_30 days of HIIT_9, after the dare planking is mentally difficult!

            Wrestler, in blocks. Might mix the blocks around next time.

              I redid the fitness test Fremen.
              This time I stopped at 41 push ups and 41 crunches.
              I managed to *just* pull out 21 burpees, 4 seconds left and a serious case of the wobbles. Fully, I'm shaking!
              But I cracked the 3!!!

              So now I've ticked that, I want to do it smoothly- nice form. Probably would help if I rested between exercises . Then maybe one day I can do 31 burpees in a minute...

                One day for now enjoy the result I too will take the test again because of the sit-ups in a while

                    This next bit comes under the category of "may have to draw out over longer than 30 days or ditch if things flare up":

                    C_Dead hang_1, well within my current random hanging, so happy that this is the alternating rest day.

                    Small people again proving that they own me at an activity
                    Followed by a session of the kids doing an activity and me trying to replicate...with arguments about what a push up looks like.

                      I'm preparing to try out a Rainbow Dragon for my celebratory workout tomorrow so working through to a day that will work nicely:
                      P_30 days of HIIT_13, 14, 15, 16, 17.

                      I have lucky diped out of a list of my common exercises (drills, calisthenics and yoga) then shuffled them around to have yoga patches.

                        The kids decided they wanted to do a workout.
                        So, with partial kid participation, I did 1 set of:

                        Busy bee...then they wanted one without 'counting'

                        2 min workout...they were happy until they realised the figure was a 'boy'

                        Firebrand, they decided they liked high knees better than butt kicks.

                        Then they wanted to do negative pull ups...I called time. I'm not cut out to be a personal trainer.


                        ...And then we did the negative pull ups anyway. Supporting children under a bar

                          The random assortment aspect was weird. Exercise by lucky dip needs some fine tuning.

                          This took me ~55min burning straight through. I appreciated the stretch breaks. The falls at the end felt symbolic!
