90 Days of Action Day 82 - Striker Level ?
I was very ambitious and did the first round at Level 3, scaled down to Level 2 for the second round, but had to go down to Level 1 for the third. Got it done though!

    Challenges
    30 Days of Fitness 1/30
    1 Minute Cardio 19/30 - squat step-ups
    Daily Gratitude 15/30 - this funny I'm reading • feeling appreciated • a good night's sleep!

    30 Day Walkabout 14/30 - 10120/10000
Wall Push-ups 10/30 - 3 sets wall pushup holds to failure
    Posture 9/30 - 20 side bends, am & pm
Core Control 8/30 - 90 side leg raises

    Barefoot Running Transition
    Walked 4.8mi / 6.73 km all day, including one walking session: 1.71 mi/ 2.75 km in 32:18
    Ran 1000y/914.4m

    Walking to Mordor and Back
    42.55 km / 26.6 mi

Oh man a good night sleep makes a huge difference! I feel better than I have in awhile and had enough energy to do a fair amount of housework, which was most of my 10000 steps today. I'm actually looking forward to sleeping instead of worrying about it. Feet are feeling good, just have to make a change in the lacing of my sandals, but I'm also at the point where I can start running with a program I think, bc 1000 yards was a little tough!
Had a good day Bees. I hope you do too.

Had a good time on my first walking to running drill, though I think I'll use an app to keep track of walked vs run mileage from now on. Not sure how much I ran, since it was time and not distance. My feet feel a bit sore, so I will do the next run barefoot to see if that makes a difference. Also sprinted instead of a nice run, so I will be doing it the correct way for tomorrow's session.

Short run felt great today! I went truly barefoot and my feet don’t hurt as bad as yesterday with my sandals. Either I went too hard on them (I was sprinting when I shouldn’t have been) or I’m landing differently even with 4mm soles. I think I land on the balls of my feet too much when shod. Gonna keep alternating both and see what happens.
This is gonna sound weird, but even in just a short amount of time, I like running barefoot. I actually like the feel of the sidewalk beneath my feet. Perhaps I’m crazy.

Went to doc and found out just how bad the holidays were for me... +12 lbs since November!! And back up to 31.5” waist measurement. Yeesh. Well it’s a good thing I’m back to eating healthy and fasting.

Well, I do like that feeling too, when I walk in Summer across the street to a friend and I'm too lazy to put on some shoes. Gives me a throwback feeling of my childhood. But I also do hate the gravel, twigs, bugs, needles, glass that can lie around..

Edit: to avoid the idea that I live in a drug street, I mean needles from pine trees 😅

Don't have the energy to go out and get those 2000-ish more steps to fulfill Walkabout challenge today - daughter wiped me out. Sick today and non-stop screaming no matter what I did. After that, I've been pretty drained all day. Thank goodness I did everything else in the morning!
NancyTree luckily there hasn't been anything like that on the pavement, just plant stuff. People walk on the sidewalks a lot here and I expected there to be more stuff, but I got lucky! That's actually why I got the Xero Shoes - so I can run almost barefoot when the track is bad.

I dunno about this Walkabout challenge. It takes a 45m walk to hit half the 11000 and if I don't hit a lot during my daily work (in a pretty un-walkable city) it just eats up too much time, and that's on top of the walk run drills I'm doing. I'll keep it one here I think since I think it will jump up once I start running farther, I just won't worry about getting it done in 30 days.

Everything else is going well and I'm feeling good! Running is feeling great and the sprints didn't hurt my barefeet on the pavement.Just needed some extra sleep to get over a little something I got from my kid. Universal truth; child gets sick, parents will get sick.

Was pretty busy today but it's easy to fit the challenges in. I am so happy to be running again, even in short bursts. I'm always so excited to go out for them. Wore the Xero shoes tonight and feet feel good. However I will be taking tomorrow off to give my feet a rest and afterwards focus on moving slower. I get too excited and go faster than perhaps I should.

These challenges go by fast, but perhaps it's just that after 90 days of a program, 30 is practically nothing. Nice to have that out of the way.

Having a little pain on the top of my foot, which seems to me a sign of too much too soon - classic me. Could feel it bugging during the HIIT today so I only did the one round. Very excited for the final day tomorrow! I'll be doing some yoga for a few days before picking up the next program.
