    31/8/2021 (Day 165)
    Trail Mix Day, We Love Memoirs Day, Overdose Awareness Day, Love Litigating Lawyers Day, International Day for the People of African Descent (UN sanctioned) and the national days of Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia (Merdeka), and Trinidad & Tobago.

    I took the day off so I could treat my wife to some home-made Malaysian food. Breakfast was Nasi Lemak which is one of her favourites. Lunch I introduced the family to Doubles (Trinidad & Tobago staple) and dinner was Malaysian Nonya Chicken Curry and Beef Rendang.

    Which left little time to workout

    August Summary

    Running: 0 km (still)
    Walking: 70.35 km and 4.88 (Treadmill) - huge improvement on July
    Yoga: 0 minutes (still)
    ROMWOD: 0
    EODs: 24
    Workouts: 24 not as good as July but factoring in injury time, not too bad. Just means I have an easier target to be in September.
    Steps: 508664 = 17,016 steps/day which is nearly 100,000 steps more than July.

    All in all, an average month with a lot of walking. It is a start. I'd like to shed a bit more weight and get back into more rigorous exercise. The walking is helping though.

                          Feeling it in my joints this morning. Not sure if I can maintain the intensity I started this month with but will try.

                          Daily Squats 30-day challenge: Day 3 - Done. Ooh yeah, I can certainly feel my knees this morning. Today is not going to be fun.

                          Hollow Hold 30-day challenge: Day 29 - Done

                          Pathfinder program: Chapter 3, part 1 - Done as 5km run done in 28:41 minutes (plus 0.46km cool down done in 5:00 minutes). This is going to hurt tomorrow. Its my first time running since January. I know my orthodic inner sole slipped and started rubbing so I'll also have a nice blister from that too.

                              Then a bee with attitude decided to influence my day. I was sitting outside enjoying the diminishing sun and working on my laptop when I suddenly felt a sting. I checked my arm and thought I'd leant on a thorn that the now strong wind had blown over. I pulled it out and thought nothing more of it for a minute or so until I saw a bee lying on my shirt. Closer examination and I sure enough figured out what had happened. The little bugger had objected to me sharing his garden and give me what for! A few icepacks later the swelling had reduced but so had the chance of me doing more workouts.

                                1 Minute HIIT program: Day 28 - Done but only Level I as the push-up done before knackered me. Will have to try it again when the arms have recovered. I've made it this far doing the program at Level III and don't particularly want to scale back now with only two days to go.
