    Looks like a good camera!
    My daughter's first Fitbit (Alta HR) died after only a couple of months (but the replacement was quick to arrive), whereas mine has ticked along happily for about three years now. You've just got to be lucky with them, I reckon. Maybe it's your magnetic personality that's affecting your electronics...

        Thanks TopNotch and AnnieW . The camera is an old Canon 350D but still has that sharpness for a home hacker like me. I used to have a Canon 300D and it was a good camera back in its day. I then had a fantastic Canon G5 which was brilliant until I didn't check the underwater housing precisely before a dive and game over. Its been a week since logging on so my apologies for not keeping up with everyone's logs. I have been running off my phone hotspotting to this laptop, the work laptop and also the course loaned iPad so doing only the minimal extra online activities.

            Pathfinder program: Chapter 17 - Done as 20:56 minute run for 3.36km which of cause of missed by my Fitbit - it decided to have a snooze. Fortunately my back up captured it. But that was the final straw for the Fitbit. I cleaned it up and took it back to the store I purchased it from and they graciously offer to swap it for another which I took. So now I have a brand new Fitbit Versa 2 (again). But I think I pounded the pavement too hard this morning and my heel is killing me. I hope it is just jarring and not the plantar faciitis again. As a break I helped my wife dig out all our bikes (most not ridden in past 7 years) and took them down to the local bike shop who were kind enough to give them a once over and pump up the tyres. Now to sit back and wait for the carnage.

                    So? Well running is up but now down because it has put my heel back on the injured list. For now.
                    Walking is down on last month. Yoga is the same with nothing. Not sure what is going on there.
                    ROMWOD is only one workout for 23 minutes. Same as last month and the number of Exercise of the Days and Workouts are the same as well. Step count is down, especially thanks to the last week where I was pretty much hotel bound. Anyway what does it all mean? Depsite all my bluster and promises, nothing really changed. That is the story for the past few months. I've wanted to do more but there has been a lack of motivation until now. She knows who she is and the effect is having on me. All I can say is watch out October (until I injure myself again).

                              Pathfinder program: Chapter 24 - Done. Okay reality time. I did this in two sets. The first was a 10 minute run to see how my foot handled the pounding as last week's run went badly. It went okay. But then trouble. The siren from across the seas called to me. Knowing I am weak to her charms. She whispered "do you want to play?" She knows I cannot resist her. Instead of pacing myself with the second ten minute run at the end of the day, I yelled "FIRE" and cranked up the treadmill again. She had lured me to certain doom (or least some sort of injury). I saw ten minutes roll over and went sailing past. Finally I came to my senses. What had I done? Maybe a prayer or two might get me through. Time to concentrate on the task at at hand and not play with heavy dumbbells that the siren calls me to play with. It is she who is toying with me. One modest Darebee challenge to go.

                              Sitting at my desk wondering what had just happened. I deluded myself into thinking that all was right with the world and I could play again later. But sitting at my desk trying to catch up on work and phone calls didn't help. I got up to leave and there was a pain in my right heel. I knew that pain. It felt like I have pounded the foot way too much.

                              Driving home I told myself that I should take it easy and ice the foot. It will come good again. But when I got there, the siren called again. I'm sure she is asleep but somehow the thought of her crept into my mind. Maybe a short walk will help sooth whatever it is I've done. So out I trot for a modest 28 minute walk for just under 3km (slower than my usual pace) but that niggling discomfort won't leave.

                              I try to distract myself with a meal and civil things. No. She taunts me. She knows I am helpless to her. I need to do something to alleviate the itch.

                              But she commands more from me. FIRE!!!!!!!!!!

                              Maybe that may sooth the beast. But my body? What have I done. Maybe a stretch will help?

                              The stretching just more pressure on the injury. Oh no. That siren has lured me to injury just as I feared. What can ease fire? Ice! Icepack time and I will be ready to take her on again tomorrow....
