XxXKiarraXxX how many pull ups can you do? For me it depends on my body temp, the air temp and the type of bar and style of grip.
On my pull up bar in my home gym (which is a gym quality bar) I can do 2 close grip neutral pull ups and about 2 shoulder width regular pull ups. On my door frame bar I can do 6 shoulder width neutral grip and 2 regular grip.

I would like to get 10 so I can add the 10 pull ups badge to my profile.

Kakarot I can pull myself halfway to a pull up but thats it unfortunately. Last time I had a pull up bar I was able to do 3 full pull ups. But then my old pull up bar broke haha. My goal to start off is to be able to do one single full pull up and once ive achieved that up it too 5

So over the past couple of days ive been playing around with my pull up bar. Ive been doing dead hangs and assisted pull ups. Saturday I went for a walk- about a Mile. And yesterday I did some push ups and sit ups. Not a lot, just 5 and 5.

Im not sure if this makes sense but I've been doing dead hangs with my pull up bar. I still cant do a pull up however I can pull myself up (My arms at a 90 degree angle) and I can hold it for about 5-10 seconds

That's good XxXKiarraXxX that means you have the strength to pull up at least half way. I think you could move to the next progression, negative pull ups challenge. This will help you get that last part.

Kakarot Have you been training in push-ups?

I have XxXKiarraXxX. I am currently able to do 48 reps in 1 set, I know I got the 50 push ups badge but that was months ago and I had stopped doing them for a while. Have you been doing push ups?

At the moment I am training to join the Royal Fleet Auxiliary which i the civilian branch of the Royal Navy so I may have to either stop doing the push ups or figure out how to fit them in. At the moment I am doing the pre fitness test training which is just running so it will be easy to fit it in but when I head into the PJFT I may have to stop for the 12 weeks that I will be doing that.

Did you se my max sit ups score? 150 reps non stop.

Kakarot very exciting! Keep up the good work- 48 is just shy of 50 I can do maybe 20 sit-ups in a row? My challenge for tonight
Ive been super focused on my pull-ups but since ive made progress I will see how many push-ups I can crank out! My average is 3

Negatives and Rows are a good way to progress towards your first pullup. If you can add some rings or handles to your pullup bar, you can do rows.

                            Flex hold Challenge
                            Negative Pullup challenge
                            Table rows challenge

These could help you to get some structure into your training...

PushUps are recomended, as they train the antagonist muscle groups.

You might join the PullUpProgress2020 thread at the playground section. or have a look at the old threads 'Full Pull' or 'PullUpProgress2019'. You might find helpful stuff there..

Good luck with your first pull up...

So I found out that I have actually been doing chin-ups, not pull-ups haha

Regardless, I came very close to doing a full chin up today

...chin, pull, hammer, neutral, overhand, underhand...

...just versions of the same: pulling yourself up...

Do the one that works and you feel comfortable with, in the beginning that's all that matters...

Great progress... you will do your first "Full Pull" soon...
