    Foundation Day 13 complete.

Took a shower then went out and planted Jalape├▒os, Pickling Cucumbers and Green Bean. Used a hand tiller to work up the soil which is a good upper body work out. The biggest problem with using the tiller is that it is a unidimensional workout as you twist it clockwise, so you're pulling with the right side and pushing with the left. Using the rake and cultivator also gives a good work out and in a balanced way when you switch lead hands regularly.

Have a couple of areas in the yard that need worked up and reseeded. That's on the agenda for this afternoon. Will use a regular power roto-tiller to break up the ground and work in the compost and top soil.

Yes, using a hand tiller is a whole body workout by itself. A few years ago I used one to prepare a parcel of land that had never been cultivated before. So, turning the tool, doing a deep squat to grab the weeds, throwing the weeds farther, going up and doing the whole exercise again and again and again... ouch!

        Day 14 Foundation Complete.

Two weeks of Foundation work in only 17 days! Who'd a thunk it that a 65 year old fat man would stay the course so consistently.

Light day for outside work as its rain on and off all day. A bit of inside work, vacuuming, and meeting an old friend for lunch. Perhaps a little woodworking after lunch, have to make some dice boxes for DnD players to carry their die and token in. Local comic book store has said they will buy a couple for resale. We'll see.

        Y'all have a good day.

Wahwoo! Foundation Day 15 complete. Half way through the first 30 days and well on the way to developing a fitness habit.

Didn't get a workout in today. Too many activities. May take Sunday off to let this old body have a day of rest from the workout. We do frequently go hiking or I'll go fishing, fly fishing in mountain streams, on Sundays.

            Back tomorrow

Back on track with a Day 15 Foundation complete.

Was playing golf this morning when the bride called that her car had died. Quit after nine holes, feelings unhurt as the game just wasn't there, and traded cars so she could take her sister shopping. After an hour and half wait, tow truck hauled car to dealership. Alternator kaput. Glad it died where it did, interchange with major fuel stops, and not on the section of road in middle of nowhere where it could easily have happened. Pricey repair, but should be good for another 100,000 miles.

                  Foundation Day 17 complete.

Barely finished the last set of Standing W Extensions. I had already spent an hour and a half in the yards hoeing and raking and weeding flower beds. Oh, and the temperature is 83┬░ F with 72% humidity. Probably should have exercised first thing and inside instead of trying to get it in during a rest break. It's done, so now I'm back out weeding the vegetable garden.

I going to say I completed Foundation Day 18, though I did not do the 3 sets of Knee Highs and Slow Climbers. Fast paced cardio. What I did in the place of the prescribed exercises is push a mower for 5.3 miles mowing most of our yard, we have a 3/4 acre lot. Had to push mow because the rider died yesterday when I started to mow. The transaxle gave up the ghost, so a new mower is in the offing.

                        Foundation Day 20 complete.

Inside work today. Already had more rain since midnight, with excessively more expected for the remainder of today and tomorrow. Will be going out to check out some mowers so I don't have to spend 7 hours pushing the 20" push mower. While it's a great cardio, legs, abs and shoulder workout, an hour for the ditch is more than enough. No need to OCD this fitness quest.

                        Everyone have a blessed day.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommas out there.

Have decided to make Sunday a day of rest for me. I know that isn't in the philosophy of Darebee with the consecutive day workouts. But it is also my program, so I get to work it how it is best for me.

                          Everyone have a blessed day.

Foundation 21 complete. Rest time is down to 90 seconds and could probably be less.

Day 23 of Foundation complete. After playing golf and doing the classic warmup, my shoulders are feeling the burn.
