    Renew

    I'm back! I am not one for new years resolutions, instead, I have a word of the year. This year my word is Renew. There is a lot of changes happening in my life this year, and to get through it I need to Renew some habits, relationships, and commitments.
    When it comes to my health, I need to renew the old habits that helped me lose 90 pounds, so that I can finally drop that last 10 and get to my goal. I was exercising every day, running at least 3 miles a day 4 days a week, drinking lots of water, and tracking my food. After a couple of consecutive injuries, I stopped exercising entirely, I am barely able to run a mile, I'm drinking more soda than water. My food tracking is the only thing that has kept me from gaining lately. I have been doing that for so long it is pretty much my default. I would love to make exercise my default as well.
    I am starting on 90 days of action today. 90 days seems like a good start to getting back my exercise habits. Today is also a run day, I have started running with my daughter, so we are working on the C25K together to build back up to 3 miles slowly to prevent reinjuring my leg.

        90 days of action day 1 - done
        An extra cup of water - done

        My legs feel like jello, but I feel great. My daughter is pleased that she completed the whole first week of C25K, and I am happy to have a running partner.

          Running with someone is something I tend to enjoy a lot more than running alone. I can run alone but it takes a lot more will power for me to get out and actually do the full route. Glad you're both enjoying C25K though, especially being able to enjoy it as a mother/daughter team

                Day 2

                3 mile walk with both kids - ✔️

                After each set, my 3 year old gave me an m&m and told me, great job! Lol she very supportive. And now she wants to run with me and her sister. There are several reasons that won't work, but today I let her ride her bike along on our walk, and that seemed to make her happy.

                    I like the M&Ms method. I need to train my kids better. Although knowing my two boys I would end up with M&Ms being throw at me about half way through instead of handed off (or they would eat them all and I wouldn't get any)

                        Weekends are hard. I didn't drink any water today really, and I didn't even have my tea. I think besides 90 days and a walk, I barely moves all day. It was nice having a lazy day though, and I'm glad my workout today was stretching and not something more difficult.

                          I feel like I suck at remembering to drink extra water on the weekends, but I am pleased that I did my 90 days of action all weekend. I was worried I would skip it over the weekend because I'm lazy lol.

                            Change takes time and is best to do in little doses. Take note but don't beat yourself up too hard. The evolution will happen but like evolution it tends to be a bit slower especially if we want it to stick. Congrats on keep up the 90 days of action.

                              I'm really proud of how well the kid is doing with the running. I wish it was easier to find her some running gear. Does anyone have any recommendations for a running belt that would fit a 10-year-old girl? She has been using my old cell phone as an mp3 player, but it doesn't fit in her pockets, so I end up carrying it for her.
                              I'm getting a little stir crazy only running a couple minutes at a time, but my calf is starting to feel a lot stronger after my injury a few weeks ago.
