Wait, so buffalo wings aren't the wings of a buffalo? I mean, I knew they were small, I just assumed buffalo had a lot of them to get airborne*.

*Yes, this is a joke. I've known for a long time now that Buffalo wings are so called because they were developed in Buffalo, NY.

Actually, they come from water buffalo and the "wings" are actually what they use for swimming.

Franks and BUTTER trashed and resauced.

True K e l l y ... most "fake" sauces I run into still have butter but use random things for heat. (Now, a "suicide sauce" with other things ADDED still passes for me but, you need that franks base or it's just a chicken wing/hot wing.)

My dad (French, may I remind you) usually came back from visiting me in Buffalo with a bottle of authentic Buffalo wings marinade bottle, from the Anchor bar. For summer barbecues (OK, not quite the traditional way to do them, but, that worked for our family!).

Packed 3.5 bags today, lmfao. Gym/work bag for tomorrow. Duffle for buffalo. Outfit to shove into gym/work bag for Tuesday (the .5 lol). Messenger for Boston. I should rly just set up Friday's outfit, also, bc I'm getting home stupidly late on Thursday.

As a bonus, I had some sneakers that need to just be in garbage, bottom is worn almost through. I was annoyed bc I hate the bag check at PAX but was like "I can carry around cloths in my messenger all day but shoes are not light".... I can just take those sneakers, hit hotel gym weds afternoon/thurs morning, then trash them at hotel >.> score! (No I don't want to bring ONLY sneakers bc husband and I will go out for a nice dinner Weds.)

                    Anyway,

I am having a very odd self image week. I need to sort myself (or at least soothe myself) before seeing family so they do not scramble me further ((attached pic w my dad and bro... we all tend towards roundness/use food as entertainment.)) Like literally yesterday I caught myself in a mirror and got startled bc I did not recognize myself (in a good way). Then today I had to shut my eyes doing scissor chops bc the difference between the nicely defined delt/trap I've got going on and the skin/remaining fat under my arm flapping like a fucking wing (I am not exagerating) was almost enough to make me cry w frustration bc I LITERALLY cannot escape old fat self.

You wanna talk about confidence... I would never be caught doing exercises in a public space like an airport. I don't want people to see me flopping all over the place. Go you!

I really had to psych myself up for it. I did allow for a retreat position of "walk laps w bag" if I had gotten any major comments/could not find an emptyish corner. But, had I not done that Id get no workout in today. And my bro is going to meet me at the airport w coffee and donuts for otw to my mom who will try to feed us then otw out for brunch. So not getting some movement in would of just made me BEYOND anxious. I did feel like an impostor, bc, I do not look like some instagram fittnes model but, whatever. Im used to feeling out of place lol.

That's a cool workout idea for a travel day! I am too shy to work out in public, so I find it quite enviable you did this at the airport. I have been doing Down Dog Yoga on people's bathroom floors to get 15mins of exercise in when I was away from home When I'm visiting my parents, I can use mom's treadmill (with a TV in front so I don't fall asleep), and my dad will take me with him on a tour with an S-pedelec each day, regardless of the weather.

Honestly, I don't know that I could of done it a first time outside of an nyc airport. Native new yorkers take pride in not daining to notice anything/anyone, and sneer at tourists who do. (Read tourist as a curse word and you get our tone.) Having practiced here and not died of shame I think I can try elsewhere if my schedule gets this cramped again.
