Thanks CODawn and cool thanks for the band to check out sleep_twitch

First, a silly song of the day. My bro and I used to absolutely infuriate our father by playing the stereo so loudly it could be heard outside the house. If this happened.... 99 times out of 100 he would just unplug the stereo and it would be weeks/a month till it was plugged back in (we knew better then to). Twice we got away with this. Once was because he was simply laughing too badly to.

On a virus note, I am now even more sure it is what I have bc as several other people with mild cases have mentioned...... I was 80% better for 2 days and then suddenly in the late afternoon I was worse. Fever was back full force. Back on the cough meds and still coughing. I am not letting myself worry, tho. I will just do what knocked it back the 1st time. That thing that anyone who had whooping cough as a kid went through w frantic mom making them sit in the bathroom and running shower for steam? It actually really REALLY helps with this. Sometimes the old wives tale actually is what is useful >.>

Altho my attempt at Express tone was a no go today, LOL. Did 2 sets and decided it was a very bad idea, then just did some yoga poses since I had mat out already.

A lost sense of taste and smell is also important. It could be the flu still. You should really get checked , unless it will put you outside the house.
Steamy showers and tea for now I guess.
      Get well soon.

Amirsh Unfortunately, do to the state of my LOVELY country I cannot get checked. I did the assessment online which was available to me through my (shitty) insurance. To be eligable for a test, you need "contact with a known tested victim" OR 1- to live in/travel through known hot spot (check), 2 - at least 2 major symptoms (chills, cough, check) AND 3 A fever over 103.1f. no check. My normal body temp is 96.5ish (normal average is 96.8). If I had a fever of 103 I would probably be dead already. I thought about going to a testing site anyway and just claiming I had that fever earlier and took asprin but..... nearest is 5 miles from my apartment, I am not in a state to walk that far and I don't want to expose ppl on a bus or uber to me. So I will follow the advise my stupid insurance portal gave me - just assume I have it and self isolate until fever is gone at least 48 hrs. The numbers coming out of nyc are scary scary scary high when you realize they are only testing like, 1 in 100 people who have symptoms bc we are all being just told to stay home. (Something like 100-150 ppl a day are dying at home and not being included in official death tolls bc they were never at hospital to be tested.)

Okay, that can be stressful not knowing for sure but maybe isolation is the best thing right now? There aren't enough tests almost everywhere. Most countries can't really handle this and there isn't a cure, just support treatment for patients with harsher symptoms... Making a trip to a testing site could be exhausting and potentially dangerous. But you already know all this. Just hang in there.

              Strength to you, 'rin.

You are doing all the right things. A test result won't change your prognosis or treatment options, but staying home and resting will help you recover, and isolating yourself from others will help them to stay healthy--regardless of which particular virus is giving you grief.

I'm sorry to hear that bitch of a virus is fighting back. Sending positive thoughts for your recovery and thanks for the steam shower tip.

                  Oh nooo.. More healing vibes!

For steam inhalation, in order to not waste so much hot water, my mom let us do it with a bowl of boiled water and a towel over the head, like this:

Okay method if you are careful and your cat is not prone to wondering WTF you are doing under that towel and knocking the bowl of hot water into your lap during the course of investigations.

I second what Rainbow Dragon said! On the flip side, it is kinda shitty the way this whole thing is being handled....not really sure if right or wrong, but not necessarily fair or appropriate. Seems eerily reminiscent of times gone by in a way...All we can do is take care of ourselves, be thoughtful of others, roll with the changes...know that change begins with one! Positive healing vibes!

You're right Rainbow Dragon - my mom used to put a small bowl of hot water inside a large, heavy casserole, so the water would flow into the casserole and not onto our laps.

Speaking of cats, since everyone loves cat stories.... I actually gave Shadow a time out today LOL.

I was lying on the couch, and she was angry bc she wanted to be where I was, so after mewing didn't make me move for her she goes to other end of couch, looks RIGHT at me, and starts clawing arm of couch. (She is NOT a furniture destroyer normally.) Ofc I sit up to grab her, and zoom! In my spot. I was so exasperated that I shut her in the bathroom 5 mins >.> now she is sulking in my closet ignoring me lol.

A bit better today but I don't trust it. Just some stretching.

Yeah, they do that. I always thought it was cute, annoying but cute. My Joplin used to do that a lot. Chelsea only does that when I'm really late to get out of bed and she wants the warm spot.
