I can certainly relate to those feelings. Knowing the strength is in there somewhere *may* help, but, until you take the dare to access it, it remains dormant. I had to ask myself “what’s the worst that can happen? I’ll die? Would that be so bad? Someone else will die? That could be bad, but can I live through it?” Steel up with some emotional armor. It’ll happen….. 🙆🏻‍♀️

      um, so
      69 consecutive active days - a total of 240 active minutes thurs - sun(fitbit)
I did not run any this weekend. Thurs my feet and ankles were swollen pretty good. Not injury related because no pain, but I figured it would be best not to run. I tried keeping my feet elevated and made an attempt to up my water intake.

Arms of steel - Days 11, 12, 13 and 15. Skipped day 14 for now because I just wasnt feeling it. Most days done with 0 to limited(30 sec or less) breaks.

Walked my pooches everyday, worked very hard on cleaning the inside of my car out on Friday. Getting all the dog hair out was quite the task. Saturday I put back furniture that had been moved off deck so that it could be treated. Sunday I spent practically the whole day outside. Our yard is being worked on so we can finally be able to grow some grass in the front yard(its mostly red clay) so we were watching them work and helping out where we could. So I got a little physical labor there. I brought up some concrete blocks from the backside of my property to the front.(uphill...gah, those things are heavy! I had to stop a few times!)

To say the least, I stayed pretty busy

When my daughter was in treatment, her therapist mentioned this technique to me along with a follow-up: "and what if it did?" I was surprised that facing my worst fears about her situation in this way actually helped.

I absolutely understand what you're feeling except that I shut down.

Not much done yesterday. 5/17/21 I wanted to run but it looked like rain. I walked the dogs a couple times, got 30 mins activity in. Motivation is faltering

You did a great job of fitting in exercise even when your motivation was faltering. Find something small you can do, and completing it will feel good. 10 squats while you are brushing your teeth. Those endorphins from exercise can really help.

                      5/18/21 - 85 Active Minutes

Run - if you could even call it that - 1.91 in 26 minutes. just awful.
Walked to warm up, ran 1.91(just could not make it to 2 miles today) after my disappointing run I did intervals on my way back. My Fitbit says I did 4.11 miles in 70 minutes, but I know it was further than that. Maybe closer to 4.5. I noticed it had no GPS signal when i first started. I use a separate app for just my running.

I went down the opposite way of what i normally run today. I know you are supposed to change things up. But the other way has way more hills and is a much harder run. I was fucking dying when I finally made it back to my house. The much warmer weather probably played a part in my poor performance as well. Thankfully there was a really nice breeze blowing. My legs felt so damn heavy today, it's like I was lugging concrete blocks.

I am falling way behind on my 100 mile challenge and my Arms Of Steel

Thank you basecamp I am trying to keep on track

Sometimes there are just those days where the run sucks...I hate the legs as lead pipe days!

                              5/19/21 - 55 total active minutes
Though fitbit only shows 31 - weird

Arms of Steel Days 14, 16 and 17 - 36 minutes - push ups done on knees...i dont remember how many i did...I think it was: 12,10,10 and something less than 10 lol. Shoulder taps 4X20 - eh, not bad. Those damn plank rotations! I did them on my knees, off my knees(the right way), alternating and non alternating and other variations and they just suck.... Punches done in one go, though my arms were tired. Other 2 days were done with full rest periods due to day 14's shenanigans

Walked the dogs a couple times and got my 2 water hoses and sprinklers set up to water the newly laid grass seed. There
will be grass in my front yard this year!
