    June 23rd 101 days!!

Walked around my parking lot at work(mainly to check on the eggs, and was thus rewarded) 1.23 miles in almost the worse shoes possible

    https://darebee.com/running/from-wal...o-running.html -
1 min run, 10 sec sprint x 5...i put my everything into the sprints! Followed up with walking making my total time 22:44

https://darebee.com/programs/30-days...owall=&start=7 - The holds at the end were a little rough! Ugh!

I also tried the daily dare 2 min jumping Ts -
uh, yeah, no...my calves barely made it a minute so I just stopped there.

Life Cycle of the Baby Killdeer

The juvenile or baby killdeers almost look the same like their adult counterparts except that, they are smaller by size. Among the two major types of hatchlings, the killdeer babies (like the chicks of hens, ducks, quails etc.) fall under category ‘precocial’ (the other category being ‘atricial’ that includes such hatchlings that are completely dependent upon their parents to survive). They rarely depend upon their parents for food, but they move out with their parents instead for foraging. The hatchlings come out of their eggs with eyes open and much developed.

They had moved from the nest on my second go around the parking lot, I bet by tomorrow there is 3! or maybe all 4!! So excited to have seen them, I would love to just pull up some pavement and observe them for a while...

            June 24 - 102

            15 min walk during lunch

            https://darebee.com/running/from-wal...o-running.html - Day 6: 2 MIN walk/2 min run x 3 - walking to cool down, 23 mins total

            https://darebee.com/programs/vitalit...owall=&start=3 - lvl 3 - 30 sec rest

https://darebee.com/programs/30-days...owall=&start=8 - really disappointed with myself on my performance and how weak i have let myself get since my leg injury, i had to do most of the planking on my knees. It was the last thing I did, so I am sure that played a part, but there was a time i could hold a plank for 60 secs...now i cant even hold it for 20

Ahhhhh, you’ll get back to where you were, just try to be patient. Your muscles have good memory, so, it’ll be quicker than when you started.
I LOVE the pics of the killdeer!! We have them here too and I saw babies for the first time this year running in the road like their parents. I remember thinking “that’s a baby killdeer, cuz Rainbow Dragon has posted pictures of them before that. Seeing them freshly hatched like that must have been such a trip!!

Wow! Awesome photos of the killdeer hatchlings! How awesome to have been able to witness all of that! Thank you for posting the photos! I love them!

HUGE CONGRATS on your 100 Day streak! That is a big accomplishment! It sucks when injuries keep us from working out and then we lose strength and endurance. It seems like the negative effects of time off accelerate as we get older. But the most important thing is that you are still out there, doing what you can. Your plank endurance will come back if you keep working at it--probably a lot more quickly than it took you to build that endurance the first time, as DorothyMH wrote, because your body will quickly remember the good form you already developed in the past, and if you let it, your brain too will remember that it really can hold out for just a little bit longer. (Holding a long plank is such a mind game!) Please try not to beat yourself up. It is okay to say, "These are some areas in which I would like to improve," but it's counterproductive to waste energy holding negative head space over your weaknesses. You've got a lot of good stuff going on as a result of all the hard work you have been putting in over the past 100+ days. You deserve to celebrate that!

                    June 25 - 29: 107 days consecutively

                    https://darebee.com/running/from-wal...o-running.html - days 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 - skipped 11 and will do that today

                    https://darebee.com/programs/vitalit...howall=&start= - days 4 and 5

                    https://darebee.com/programs/30-days...owall=&start=8 - days 9 and 10

https://darebee.com/images/running/y...rs-workout.jpg - done after my runs

I also did some extensive clearing out of a huge wild rose bush and a 'Jesus' (also known as a Hawthorn tree, those bastards hurt if you get stuck by one!)tree that took up residence in one of my old overgrown flower beds. A couple hours and a few thorn pricks and scratches later it looked much better. I hadnt cleaned that up in a few years so it was badly needed.

Killdeer update: All 4 eggs have hatched, but I am not sure if the third one ever hatched completely...i hope he or she made it after I left for the weekend, but as the 4th one was completely out of the shell after work, and the third didnt look like it had made its way out anymore than at lunch i fear the worst. I also found another nest out in the parking lot with 4 eggs in it so I will be keeping an eye on those!

I have found a Robins nest in my garage and she has 2 eggs

Thank you so much DorothyMH and Rainbow Dragon! I have restarted so many times, but this time has been rougher on me...but i keep moving forward, and the scale is slowly going down I just need to stay focused and not get discouraged!

https://darebee.com/programs/30-days...wall=&start=11 - Yoga is always nice to finish with right? But parts of this sequence were a little rough on me plus the dogs were all over me

It wasnt as hot yesterday so I was able to get out earlier and thus was able to do more, I miss my treadmill!
