    Feb 13: >>>>>>Streak - 11 days <<<<<<<

    https://darebee.com/running/30-days-of-running.html: Day 11:
Today was extremely frustrating. I only got 2 minutes in, but it still counts as a run

https://darebee.com/programs/power-up.html: Days 9, 10, and 11: To make up for my lack of running I did 3 days, but did them 9, 11, 10 so as to give my legs a little break.

I had decided to do intervals on my treadmill today, started my walking to warm up, and right as i was about to switch to running my watch shut down my activity tracking. Grrr. Restarted it and then proceeded to run, was pushing for speed today so cranked it up to 6 (i know for some that's not a lot, but for me its a challenge to maintain) was getting it pretty good, debating on if i could make it to 90 sec...i was up to about a minute and my treadmill came to a dead stop. No warning, no slowing down, it just stopped. I lunged and caught myself, thankfully. I could not get it to come back on. It is pretty old, so im not sure if i will be able to get it to work again. Took my run outside, but it was just to cold, windy and wet. Got another minute run in and went back in. I was so bummed about the whole thing.

Congratulations on keeping up with your streak, Dawn! It sucks when bad weather, technical problems, and sore muscles get in the way of the workout we'd planned to do--but when you find ways to adapt as you did, and still get something done, you keep up your momentum, and that momentum does make it easier to keep going again the next day.

Well sad to say I did not work out at all this weekend. Friday was way to cold to run outside, then my husband asked for assistance with something he was working on. I have my excuses...painting with my mom on Saturday and watching a movie with my son, attending a dog training session and grocery shopping on sunday, but all they are is excuses. I could've made time, but I am really bummed about my treadmill and once i missed Friday it was downhill from there. I will get back at it today though, one way or another. It should be nice enough to run outside as long as its not raining. Who knows, maybe i needed the downtime...even if i do feel bad about it.

          Feb 17 >>>>>>Streak 1<<<<<<<

          https://darebee.com/running/30-days-of-running.html: Day 12:
Ran outside 2.22 miles in 24 mins and change. I shaved some time off my run and added a little distance from my last run outside on the 3rd of Feb, I think I could've pushed a little farther if my runtastic app actually showed me my distance instead of my pace and total time

https://darebee.com/programs/power-up.html: Day 12: Lunges were a little rough, my knees were stiff. The side bridges, I can tell there is some improvement there, but they are still difficult. I cant do them without having my arm down to support me.

Total time with warm up and cool down was 41 minutes @ 2.82 miles

            Feb 18 >>>>>>Streak - 2<<<<<<

https://darebee.com/running/30-days-of-running.html: Day 13: Today I got out and did my intervals. I did 6 60/60 intervals...had a hiccup in the middle where i started my run but had accidently paused my tracker, so I stopped my run and restarted my tracker. Had a lil bit extra walk break. (total time 26 mins)

https://darebee.com/programs/power-up.html: Day 13: 6mins - Leg extensions and hold....not to bad, but my thighs like to try and cramp on me.

Other stuff - Spent an extra 10 or so minutes stretching using yoga moves that I know are good for doing after runs. (Down dog, Up dog, butterfly....etc)

https://darebee.com/hive/daily-dares...ce-back-kicks: No EC - I had the wobbles

ID:	658128 I love that at my work we train dogs that have been rescued, found wandering the streets, or handed over. Some of these dogs have never known love or been shown what its like to be a part of a family. I love that I am able to go down once a week and take photos of these precious babies, and that helps them to find their forever homes. This girl here is Kady, and I would so love to take her home. (I can't, I have 5 dogs already lol). She is so sweet, she loves to do her best to curl up in my lap Click image for larger version

Wanting to keep them all was definitely the hardest part about fostering rescue dogs, but being a link in the chain of people that helps a dog find a loving forever home is important work.

Just a quick run so i could have it on the books. Ran down my street and back up, maybe 5 or so minutes run time. (total time 16:29 mins)

https://darebee.com/programs/power-up.html: Day 14: Ugh, I have got to work on my upper body strength! Did the hold on my elbows and knees, that was doable.

Was going to the daily dare until I saw what it was....Nope...not after that Power Up!

ID:	658404 This handsome guy is Jackson. He was an owner surrender. His tail was broken in 2 places and had to be amputated. They noticed that he was eating very slowly, checked him out and found a 3 inch piece of aluminum stuck in the roof of his mouth. I can't even explain the heartbreak I have for some of these babies that come in here. Lord only knows what Jackson has gone through. Now he will be trained and with luck will go to a loving new home. I'm sure they will have no problem finding him a good home!

I get too attached, very quickly. I like being involved by taking their pictures, and have started doing some photoshopping with different backgrounds which has gone over very well. I have a lot of learning to do there lol. I have thought about fostering, but i have enough dogs right now as it is. I also Click image for larger version
