9C max?! err..yeah, those kind of numbers we only get during the middle of winter down here, even then, it would be quite rare!

Day 23 - Embers To Flame

    High Knees - 4 minutes
Stance Training - 1 minute each
    Oblique Situps - 4 x 30
    Clapping Push-ups(until failure): 29,15,12,10
    Beam Jump Pull-ups - 40
    Handstands - 2 minutes

Today was kind of a bust.
Combination of a very very late start and interruptions. I also have to admit, I’m not feeling 100% though. Think it might still be that cold that’s threatening me, or maybe just my sinuses acting up. Either way, hope it passes soon. Not gonna lie, it’s rather annoying.

    High knees - 4 minutes

Zen Dude Fitness 4 Week Challenge:
    - Week 4, day 2

    Handstands - 2 minutes
    Push-up ladder day 25
    5K run

Decent session, seems that crappy feeling I had yesterday has passed, was nice to get in some running too, since it’s been a while...so out of touch with that.

Day 25 - Light It Up

    High knees - 4 minute
Stance Training - 1 minute each

    Light it up circuit:
    - Fire blast push-up x 10
    - Burpees x 10
    - Uppercut + Push Kick x 5
    - Uppercut + Axe kick x 5
Repeat non stop for 15 minutes

    Handstands - 2 minutes
    Fireballs x 50
    Meditation - 5 minutes
    Chin-ups in one go: 26

Well this pretty much killed me again. The meditation was a godsend.
Also have to admit; it seems that crappy feeling from Friday reared it’s ugly head later in the day.
Damn, just hope it doesn’t end up sidelining me.

      Bounceback - Level III

      Handstands(wall assisted) - 1 minute
      50 push-ups in one go

So I was pretty much taken out of commission for the entirety of last week by the flu.
Two of those days being especially bad, resulting in being relegated to staying in bed. Followed by batting coughing episodes, the days after and mucus and post nasal drip resulting in my voice being pitched down to a level where I could stand in for James Earl Jones as the voice of Darth Vader!
That’s still there, but not so low any more. I've been feeling better since yesterday, so figured it was long overdue to get back into things.
We’ll take it slow for the next few days, then I should be able to continue with my firebending training after that

        Second Chance - Level III

        Handstands - 1 minute
        Jump rope - 3 minutes
        Meditation - 5 minutes
        Dog Walk - 2K

Seems there have been indeed be strength losses...although, I must admit, my air way isn’t all that clear quite yet, still some residual mucus that needs to be cleared.
No wonder the planking and jump rope felt ever so slightly laboured.
Was really great to get out with the doggie kids again.

          The Comeback - Level III

          Handstands - 1 minute
          Jab + Cross + hook + uppercut x 50
          Kicking - 5 minutes
          Meditation - 5 minutes
          Chin-ups in one go: 25

Damn, this felt really good! I felt very satisfied with this session, in spite of the fact, that my airway still isn’t 100%, still had to deal with every few minutes or so, and my breathing sounded whistle like, while doing the kicking. No doubt due to mucus still hanging in my sinuses.

          Free Bootcamp:
Form rows of 10 people, everyone gets down to an elbow plank, and you pass a water bottle to each other,
while remaining in the high plank position. When the bottle gets to the end of the row, everyone does 2 burpees,
back to high plank position, and the bottle gets passed back to the other end of the row, then everyone does 4 burpees.
Repeat until you get to 8 burpees.

          2 person workout outs.
One person goes into an elbow plank position, while the other does 6 burpees next to them, jumping over them after each burpee.
          - Resistance band run
          - Switch who planks and who does the burpees
          - Resistance band run
          (repeat for 4 minutes)

          - Hi-5 push-ups x 10
          - Resistance band run 20m
          -Low-5 squat x 10
          - Resistance band run 20m
          (repeat for 4 minutes)

          - One person sit in the c-position while the other does 10 mummy kicks behind them
          - Bear crawl 20m
          - Switch who sits and who does the mummy kicks
          - Bear crawl 20m
          (repeat for 4 minutes)

          - Iron legs x 5
          - Frog jumps 20m
          - ten-two jumps x 10
          - Frog jumps 20m
          (repeat for 4 minutes)

Finally managed to get back to bootcamp too.
It was quite windy outside and my airway still wasn’t functioning at it’s optimal capacity, so this class was actually kinda taxing,
especially that last set with the frog jumps.

            Day 26 - Dragon’s Rush

            High knees - 3 minutes
Stance Training - 40 seconds each

            Jump Tuck x 100
            Jumping Lunge x 100

            Dragon’s Rush circuit:
            - Clapping push-ups x 2
            - Jab + Cross + turning kick
            - Lateral slide
Repeat every 20 seconds for 5 minutes non-stop

            Handstands - 90 seconds
            Push-ups Ladder: day 27
            Pull-ups in one go: 20

Of course it had to be Dragon’s Rush “welcomed” me back into the Fire bending fold!
Honestly this is probably the most difficult day in this training regime that i conjured up! Some kind of masochistic streak that I might have.
After the jumps i was pretty much spent, had to will my body to keep moving with the Dragon’s Rush circuit. Yep, sweat was everywhere.

                High Knees - 3 minutes
Stance Training - 40 seconds each

                Chin-ups in one go(parallel grip): 23

My body is feeling rather wrecked, suppose it’s been somewhat of a system shock, since coming back from being sick.

                Pull-ups in one go: 22
                5K run

Kept it short and simple today, DOMS appear to be teasing me. I would expect that it’ll probably make itself known within in the next few days.

Damn, my sleep over the weekend wasn’t really all that good, and it would appear it filtered into my training, my body felt quite wrecked today. After the beam jump pull-ups, I was totally being a Yamcha.

Well done! I have such trouble doing anything if my sleep gets wrecked, especially over weekends as that's my only time to really catch up & reset after working all week. I really hope you get some decent nights in this week though.

Yeah I know what you mean, unfortunately with me it's the opposite, my sleeping pattern over weekends is really thrown out of wack, and it usually takes me an extra 3 days in the week just to correct that, only to have it happen again, come the weekend. It's actually a rather bad habit that needs to be addressed eh?

Today’s session had me knackered by the second set with Zen Dude Fitness, already!

Day 31 - Light It Up

                          High Knees - 3 minutes
Stance Training - 50 seconds each

                          Light It Up circuit:
                          - Fire blast push-ups x 10
                          - Burpees x 10

                          Pull-ups in one go: 23

Had to deal with a bit of an annoying cough all throughout this training session, but it went alright in spite of that I suppose.
My breathing still isn’t quite where it should be, probably still some residual post nasal drip there, that’s causing somewhat of an obstruction.
Really hope it would just damn well clear already.

As always Dragon’s Rush delivers that feeling like you’ve been pummeled.
The jumps had me pretty much tanked and then I still had to circuit to power through.
Had to scrape together quite a bit of willpower to see it through to the end

And with that this Fire bender conditioning training has come to an end.
I have to say this has by far been the most difficult regime I’ve had to follow.
And I feel the results of it’s intensity is definitely there.
Sure the fact that I fell ill during this training has caused significant losses, I feel the bounce back after that still yielded satisfactory results.
