Despite not having running as a primary goal, I've always considered the 8 Weeks to 5k their best starter, if I were to seriously begin running. However, maybe others would be better at answering this: Britt0, Hiraelle, Louve rose, LeicaEnergizer.

I haven't done any of the darebee programs for running, but I have had a good experience with C25K : http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
I downloaded an app on my phone so I could follow instructions and not have to check the time myself, there are a lot of apps for this training plan but a lot cost moneyI found one that is totally free and without ads for Android tho, C25K trainer by Syncostyle.
The darebee program should be good too, but I can only talk about what I did
Also don't forget to listen to your body, I hurt myself by running when my body didn't want to because "I have to run three times a week"and because of that I got two weeks of no running, the first 10 days spent limping and walking very slowly and hurting at every step I took
(so don't be stupid like me)

You say you want "to start running again," so I suppose that you have run regularly in the past.
I would say either the Long Run or 8 Weeks to 5K would work fine.
I really enjoyed Cardio Trim Run. That's ultimately what got me started. Then, I followed the 1/2 Marathon Training along with Age of Pandora, which worked beautifully. Good luck!

Thanks wjs Hiraelle and Britt0 for your input! It is much appreciated!
Britt0 yes, I ran regulary in the past ... but its been a few years ... actually more then a few years I have to confess ...Thanks for mentioning the darebee-program - will take a closer look to it and to the long run and the 8 weeks to 5k too
Hiraelle thanks for sharing your thoughts, hints and experiences too! The free-app sounds interesting too, and also available for ios. Will take a closer look to that too.
Thanks buddies! You gave me much to think about over the next few days!
Happy Easter Bees!

wjs, thanks for tagging! TheLibrarian, you know, I tried only one Darebee running program - the 1/2 Marathon Prep - and it was very balanced and enjoyable and actually did what I expected it to do: helped me to complete the 1/2 Marathon. I'm currently following a marathon prep plan that is very much like the one Darebee provides but it's 2 times longer - because I want to play it safe, you knowI suppose the Long Run program you chose will help you get back into running and will serve as a good add on to your basic training - so give it a go, maybe you'll find that you want more and switch to something even more hard

TheLibrarian´s Log - Stardate: 70750.9:
- TheLibrarian´s warm-up
- Community Challenge [unofficial] - PRS
- IronBorn - day 14
- TheLongRun - day 1
- Stretching exercises combined with BlackRoll exercises as cool-down
Consecutive Days of Exercise: 115 / 150
Thanks again for the feedback i recieved!
choose to begin with TheLongRun! I think it will suit my needs. Another reason why i choose it is because it is a 30 day routine. in about 6 weeks i go into holidays, and I don´t know if i would get the 8 weeks to 5k done throughout my holiday if you get my drift. And so, the long run sounds better! And the days with the increased exercises sounds also solid. Looks like a good base to start with! Lets see how I will fare throughout this journey - and what awaits me afterwards!
Have a great Friday Bees - and Happy Easter !!!

Comments and Thoughts:
Lets try the comment and thoughts section out ...
IronBorn was great! I liked the exercises! And I see some progress in form and body adaption referring to some exercises! Thats great too.
The LongRun: Well, if you asked me in the morning hours if I would go running, I would have laughed at you and definitely had answered: "Are you crazy? Definitely not!"
The whole night and the whole morning it was raining. Its all soaked and wet outside! So i thought: not today, lets see what the morrow brings! But about an hour ago the sun came out and the raining stopped! I did my IronBorn Day and looked outside again! It was nice! So hey, I went outside ... and I am glad I did!
The Almighty Jupiter was gracious to me today.
Today is the last day of a long and great weekend - and unfortunately of too much chocolate. But hey, it´s Easter, so thats ok I think. Will make the best out of the remaining monday, there are some chores left.
Enjoy your Monday bees!
