Meeeh, the bursitis sucks. But at least it can be treated without too much trouble, right?

TheLibrarian sorry to hear that- You will have to cure it down accurately for it not to become chronic ... one thing about the leg thing, most people have a difference in leg length and there are plenty of runners that do have that too, might be that you did too much too fast for your body to adapt... You know the soft tissue like muscles adapt fast but joints, tendons etc very slowly... Get well soon in any case to start with

Colin Thanks! good company indeed Buddy - could not wish for better company! and Thanks to Anton as well! My orthopedist said I should first cure it down - otherwise the inflamation won´t go away and become chronic - and we don´t want that. But hey, finally I have some time for some Netflix-series still unseen and my pile of unread books - well, in this case the ascent of Mount Everest is only a minor mound compared to the unread-pile of the librarian Better safe then sorry, therefore only some rest-time for the upcoming time - my wife will love me for that.

LeicaEnergizer Just catched the vibes you send - thanks a lot!

twinkletoes Thanks couldn´t have said it any better: "Bursitis sucks" According to my orthopedist: yes, but it takes time. And in my case (impatient) - time sucks too But as I said above - lots of books and Netflix-series are waiting for theLibrarian.

xingyiquan Thanks Buddy! you are right about the chronic part! And you are probably right about the other thing as well - I probably did too much too soon - now I have learned the lesson the hard way! My body and I probably need a "couple-therapy" - I have the feeling we have to talk more in the future if you get my drift I collected some workouts for the future regarding leg and tendon training - this will definitely be one major part when I return. I have a bit time now to think about the stuff I will do after the recovery - and in which amount. Slow and steady wins the race, right? Eventually I will contact you if I need some advice regarding some exercises and routines if you don´t mind?

many people have that kind of thing with the leg-length, but it is not often diagnosed, because you probably don´t notice it
One of my brothers had this problem, but he was diagnosed being still child, and later I knew people that has discovered this issue as adults. It seem to be more usual that we think.

I won two times in the lottery, right?
Where do you buy the tickets? ...only to avoid it.

I wish you a soon recovery.
