When I'm doing plank it isn't my abs or core that lets me down, it's my arms. Does anyone know exercises to strengthen arms for plank? How do you build up strength in arms for plank?
I feel a bit out of shape (not in it's hard to do it for me kind of way). I can still do everything easily that I did, but the intensity of working out is lower than before and my body feels not that concentrated anymore. Tomorrow's gonna be a tricky day in terms of working out, but I'll try to do double program day. And I don't know how to fit that 35 minute run there. There's no way I'll be doing that before, but after it might be too dark for running (I'm also living in the area where you can easily encounter wild animals and I know for a fact that we have wolves, wild boars, foxes and bears here, some time back even lynxes. Not to mention moose and deer. I even encountered a deer while running. It was right on the road staring at me and took off when I stopped. I saw a bear in broad daylight when riding with a bicycle on the same road where I run. It was around 500 meters from me in a field. I've seen the prints of bears, wolves, wild boar etc on the road and fields that surround it. So I would rather not run after the darkness has fallen.)

What we had today for DD is an excellent beginner friendly exercise to strengthen your shoulders, Scapula Shrugs. You can also do them on your knees or with the feet elevated, it reaally is a great exercise. Otherwise just good old fashioned push ups should do the trick as well

I started working out at 23.00 and ended 1:50. Fun. At the beginning of the shadowboxing thing I thought that what the hell am I doing. If I'd do anything like this in a real fight I'd be knocked out before I even got to make a move. But at the end of it I quite enjoyed myself. I did a double program day, but no running. And I finally managed the 4 minutes plank. 5 minutes is just behind the corner. I lacked of motivation for a couple of days in terms of working out. I just felt like it was pointless. But then I watched Pacific Rim and listsened to its soundtrack and motivation came flooding back.

            See ya!

Today I rediscovered an old game from the internet that I loved to play when I was younger and half the day I just played it. The other half went to housework, mainly stacking chopped wood into neat piles. Yesterday and also today my shoulders and upper back are really tense and tight. There's a tension in my right hamstring also and I don't like the feel of it. The Killer Burpee Challenge was fun. I am almost pleased with the result. I barely warmed up during working out today. I decided to do yoga for flexibility and especially shoulders to release the tension. I hope tomorrow's gonna be better.

Hey people. It's gonna be movietime again soon. This time I'll be watching Warcraft and since I don't really know what to expect from it, maybe some of you have seen it and can suggest situation=exercise pairing. I'd be very grateful!

                      ---

I had to babysit my little brother and sister and I had to keep them occupied with something else than computer or TV so we decided to hike through woods to a shop. I did that trip not over a year ago with my brother but my sister is younger than him so I didn't know whether she could make it. She said her legs were tired after 100 meters of walking so I started to introduce trees and plants to them and talk about folklore. That kept them both interested and going. For around 800 meters we walked on the road, then we turned to a meadow and walked another 500 meters. From there on I can't tell the distance really. We walked through woods and ended up in a very thick and high grass area which led to the river. Me and my brother could make the jump over it, but I had to build a shabby bridge out of a few fallen trees, diameter not over 7cm. She got over using the help of a tree or roots that were half way over the river and I got her in the end. We had to go some more, but the rest of the way wasn't very complicated. We ended up in someone's back yard And then moved on to the shop, bought some crisps and soda and hiked back. On our way back, my brother jumped and falled into the river, but luckily right at the shore so he hoisted himself up. I decided to go over the path before my sister and the trees snapped below me. If I had fallen off of them right to the bottom, then I probably would've got stuck and sank lower because the bottom is very muddy and deceitful. Luckily, I stayed on them and already being waist deep in water, I just decided to hoist my sister onto my back and carry her over. On top of that all, it started raining and pretty hard. But we got home safe, my sister being the most dry out of us I'm thinking of taking them hiking to another place tomorrow. I have to babysit them for a week so hiking and treasure hunting is going to be our main activity.

Anyway. Working out went well. Running felt well. Shoulders are a bit achy still, but not that bad as yesterday. The weird tension pain in my leg however is still there.

                      See ya!

Great job with the hiking. It brings back fond memories for me. You'll have to teach them to climb trees.

Joomju Brother already climbs a bit. I guess the next lesson is how to climb different trees Glad that it brought good memories back

Kind of a rest day in every sense. It rained the whole day so we spent our day playing Dixit instead. If the weather is beautiful tomorrow I'll take them hiking again. Running felt really easy and good. My only big mistake while running is breathing through my mouth the whole time. I'm not out of breath or wheezing, just breathing through the mouth, but I guess that is what makes my throat swell up. I'm gonna watch Warcraft but since I have no idea what to expect and I'd like to keep it a rest day, then I won't be working out during that. If you have any suggestions for fantasy or horror movies that you have seen then suggest please. I'm running out.

I am not a big fan of Horror movies, but I like those that subvert the genre. My favourites are Cabin in the Woods, Shaun of the Dead, and Tucker & Dale vs Evil.

For the latter you should probably do some kind of exercise every time you want to facepalm xD But it's a fun movie.
