Still fighting off that cold, including a bit of a sore throat. But I'm already feeling a lot better, so I decided to do a little workout this morning. Finally decided on Foundation Day 1, just to get moving once more - it wasn't hard, but it got the blood flowing and warmed me up.

Today has been the restart of Hero's Journey.

Hero's Journey, Day 1: Done at Level 1

      Points earned today: +100
      Points total: 100

It has been harder than I remembered it. Horrible to see how much Stamina and power you lose with being sick for "just" one week... :-/

        Points earned today: +200
        Points total: 300

Got quite wobbly in the last set, but it has been fun - I especially like those combos.

This time, I chose the hammer and the magical ring as weapons. Realized in my first try that the ribbon isn't really a lot of fun for me and I tended to leave it out. Hammer and ring target my weakest Areas, too, upper body and core. And hey, after two years it's really time to use those dumbbells again.
Has been a nice little workout today, added some sitting twists for the weekly quest. Although my wrists don't exactly like the planks... I realized after this little workout that I'm a bit sore from yesterday's high knees...

Tonight, it's martial arts training. We'll see how my right knee copes with that...

Yesterday evening has been martial arts training. Has been fun. I'm a bit sore and I've got some nice bruises (I've no idea where the one on my shin is from, but it's big! ), but that's ok. The only problem with training is that it ends at 9:30 pm and that afterwards I definitely have trouble getting to sleep - I'm really tired, but my brain is fully awake. So that night has been quite short... Any ideas on getting to sleep faster?

Nice workout, not too hard for me despite being tired and sore from yesterday. But the leg raises have been hard....

No, not really, I have the same problem. I always feel like a squirrel on caffeine... (like the one in the movie "Hoodwinked!")
Perhaps some kind of Yoga Workout or Meditation or something?
The Backup & Restore Workout perhaps, it is the one, you also do in the Meditation Challenge. It really helps you relax, well, at least it helped me relaxing my brain. So perhaps try this (I should try this too...)

Well, it's worth a try, thanks for the hint! :-)
I just saw that there's even a workout on here called "better sleep". I'll give it a try next wednesday after training.

Well, well... I'm not completely happy with today's workout. My knee wasn't a big fan of all that jumping (and me trying to be as quiet as possible), so I wasn't able to do the full range of motion. Still broke a sweat.
And tonight, it's time for the second martial arts training this week. Fridays normally are more intense as we do lots of sparring. We'll see how it goes.

Yesterday evening, training has been fun. This time we didn't do any sparring, but concentrated on different kicks and combinations and the forms we have to do. The next belt testing ist only two weeks away! But the pieces start falling in place, so I'm not really worried about it. Even the required breaking technique won't be as difficult as I feared.

This morning: Hero's Journey, Day 6: Done on Level 1 plus weapon's practice (hammer, magic ring)

                          Points earned today: +300
                          Points total: 1000

I suck at push-ups... so I really concentrated on form this morning and did them from my knees. Don't laugh, but despite being on my knees, I only managed 5, 5, 5, 4, 4, before the form got too sloppy... There's still a lot of work to do! The hammer exercises have been fun, and the planks totally killed what strenght had been left in arms, shoulders and core...

Nice short workout, got my heart pumping. Luckily, thanks to Karma from Day 2, I just had to do 4 sets... Enough for this beautiful Sunday.

I'm tired this morning (well, more than ususal )... we were at the reading of my favorite thriller author yesterday evening, but of course at the other end of the city and it got later than it should be. Well, still got up in time this morning and did all those wonderfull ab excercises. The leg raises are really hard work, but all in all I quite enjoy the ab workouts in Hero's Journey so far.
(And yes, I am tired - I even forgot my glasses on the bedside table and only realized it 45 minutes later, after my workout and everything... )

Are you sure you did the right workout?
