Haha, he quit around Christmas. He was really sick with the flu, so I think that helped. Normally, when he quits, I want to kill him. Apparently, when I quit, I also want to kill him. I’m not doing well at ALL today. This stupid little vape device can kiss my ass. It’s not working for me today. I’m a ball of anxiety and I want a cigarette.

            This is actually AMAZING advice.

I'm sad to report I asked John to stop by the store for a pack. BUT, just a pack, not a carton (the clerk did a double take) and I've only had two. Working from home, I was close to two packs a day.

I probably could have muscled through, but I was having A REALLY tough time. Work has not helped today. I've resolved not to smoke in the house, which will by itself cut my consumption way down. I'm hoping this pack lasts me through the weekend.

It's a hell of an addiction, honestly. I have quit smoking cold turkey, I've quit other things cold turkey, and I'd rather be hooked on just about anything else.

I'll keep reporting on my progress. Redline I've mentioned smoking once or twice, but it's embarrassing to admit when I'm here posting on a fitness forum, you know?

These Juul pods are supposed to be equal to a pack of cigarettes. I feel like I've been sucking on this stupid thing all day, and I barely made a dent in it. So I went from 30-40 cigarettes to equivalent of 5. No wonder I was crawling the walls.

                Baseline Day 15
Level one to get it over with before I fall asleep. I’m so over hip rotations BUT day 15!!

                  Happy 15

About the smoking: I quit the way I mentioned. day by day. I always 'allowed' myself to smoke tomorrow and If you do that every day... you won't smoke tomorrow... It took some of the pressure... it's hard in the beginning... BUT it gets easier every day... you got this...

From 40 down to 5 is a lot less... you spared your lungs 35 cigarettes... so already a win!

I also quit gradually, about 15 years ago... but never was a big smoker in the first place. My max was maybe 10 a day, and I spent a long time between 3 and 5.
The fact is, fewer cigarettes already make a difference health wise, and it's easier to quit completely when you're not smoking much, so... what you're doing now is already a step in the right direction.

No advice from me as a non-smoker, but lots of hugs!
You can do this! Reducing the number of cigarettes by that much is already a very good thing!

I woke up today and put them out of sight in a drawer. Much less depressed this morning vs. last about “missing out” on my coffee ritual!! I can do this, and they’re there later if I absolutely (feel I) need one.

Thank you all for your support!

As you know, you do not need one, eventually you want one, BUT that will not happen, you know!

You'll find the thing that's right for you, Kelly.

Please disregard this if it's not for you.... as it's quite niche... but I quit in the end using a series of YouTube videos! Basically, this guy, who I understand from a friend has a strong Chicago accent, just nags you! I found it really helpful, but not everyone responds in the same way. I watched them all the time. Here's his link if you want to have a look at him. He's a lovely chap in my view. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCag..._NnOb1N4yXA97Q

Anyway. It took me a long time to get to that point and we all wish you support with this!
