    Running and fighters codex

I've really enjoyed doing the combat hiit at level 2. I want to carry on with combat stuff but reintroduce running into my schedule. I'm debating doing fighters codex and a 5k run on alternate days. Does the programmernd itself to that? I don't feel fit enough to do both!

I'll keep up yoga (just going through 30 day challenge again, plus whatever the monthly challenge is)

    Grateful for views :😊

Who knows? Part of my new plan for fitness is to alternate morning workouts between Fighters Codex and 30 Days of Change. That way I am getting running as well as combat, but bascially stretching the programs to twice as long. Both programs will have necessary active rest days built in. It might work better than just doing a 5km every second day.

Thanks CaptainCanuck that's a good idea. I looked at the 30 days of change and debated it but wanted to keep up the fighting stuff. I was worried about pushing myself too hard as I've managed to complete two programmes (almost) on the bounce and didn't want to lose momentum.

At some point I want to get back to running longer distances again but not give up doing other exercise. I found I was far too lazy before and running was quite enough. I like the different fitness I have now. Supposed to be running the great north run but I keep expecting it to be cancelled hence not starting half marathon training now!

I was doing run\walk intervals on M-W-F and a program on the other days. It does stretch the programs out longer than 30 days but it was a way to do the intervals. I've taken some time off of the running but I am starting back June 1st with the same schedule.

Cheers CODawn That's a good plan too. I kind of want to do some speed running work but balancing it is the challenge. Hmmm. I think I might just start with combining the two programmes and see how I go. Depending on how the active recovery days go I think I'll see if I need to add in the odd just going for a decent walk day.

Sure, but 30 days of change is flexible, thirty minutes of walking is usually fine as well.

True. I read it properly after you said that! ☺️
