    Big Hearted Grandsons

Earlier today my wife & I were at a local beach on Vancouver Island, with 4 grandsons, ages15,14,13 & 11. The 4 of them & I were playing catch with a football. An autistic boy wanted to join in. The grandsons didn’t hesitate to include him. They all threw gentle underhand passes to him so he could catch them. If he dropped the ball, no one laughed, just gave him encouragement. It made me very proud of them.

You should be Petermorris966 it takes big hearts to open up to an autistic. It's not easy for every one to be open like that or understand. I know cause my younger brother is autistic and it's not always easy to know what others think of him, yet people surprise me every so often and he surprises them.

You are absolutely right to be
One of my friends is a therapist who works with autistic kids, it's a really difficult world but also fascinating, I really admire his passion

So late with my Hive replies but this is incredible PETERMORRIS966 !! You have truly wonderful grandsons and such a lovely interaction to read about

I wish that I had stories to share about my own kiddo being included like this but alas they are mythical creature in their rare-ness. I am hopeful that one I will have too many to share or even remember though
