    Your Reality

    There is a reality that is uniquely yours. It has nothing to do with the facts you observe or the signals reported by your senses. That reality exists inside your head and it is created when facts and sensory signals are filtered through your memories, experience and knowledge. Memories, experience and knowledge form perception. Perception creates what we think is real; whether the glass is half-full for us or half-empty. What we think is real guides our thoughts which then shapes our actions.

    Manage your perception by asking yourself how you know what you think you know. Look at your actions and see if they fit your intent or if they are simply reactive to what you perceive. The balance between doing what you want to do because it guides you towards a future goal and simply reacting to what you perceive decides whether you are in control of your destiny or if you're being swept along by events outside your control.

    Damer I have read all your motivational posts. A real inspiration for me, now that I am this mental and physical journey that is consistently training/ working out. Keep up the great work, it is much appreciated!

      Munnaaa thank you and I am glad they are of help. Each post is the result of distillation of research from the worlds of neuroscience and behavioral psychology. We are more than physical beings and here we should be able to find as much as possible of what we need to change and grow. We have a lot more material planned for the year ahead.
