    Build it

    Identity is a construct. Who we are and who we become depends, in most cases, upon family ties, circumstances, nationality, social connections, social groups and so on. Each of these reflect the many steps we took to get to where we are now that have made us who we are. When we exercise we break with this tradition. We do something of our own volition for deeply personal reasons. We become intentional at a very deep level and it changes us.

    Through sustained, sustainable physical activity we polish the rough edges, knock off the unwanted bits and secretly, bit by tiny bit, we refashion ourselves. There is no divorcing the physical from the mental. They are one. How different would your life be if you also took small, sustained, mental steps and made conscious choices in your daily life that built up the core of you based upon your beliefs and upon your values?

    The better version of us is built this way. Small steps taken consciously, intentionally, propelling us in the right direction; one day at a time.

                Okay, first time posting here.... and very much a newbie to Darebee, but loving what I've done so far.
                I'm sitting here, craving chocolate for no other reason than me wanting it.
                Reading your Daily Boost, even at 8 PM today, is helping me stay grounded and away from the kitchen. My identity is to be in control of my cravings!
