Shoulder Taps - What it Works
Focus: Upperbody
Type: Strength
Difficulty: level 3 of 5

Start in a push-up position with your hands under your shoulders and your feet about hip-width apart. Lift one hand off the floor and tap the opposite shoulder, place it back down, then tap with the other hand. The goal is a torso so still that a cup of coffee on your lower back wouldn't spill - all the movement belongs to the tapping arm, none of it to your hips.

Works: shoulders, triceps, core, obliques

Breathing: Exhale as you tap, inhale as your hand returns to the floor.

Common Mistakes: Rocking the hips from side to side with every tap, shifting the weight back toward the feet, and rushing the taps so fast that control disappears entirely.

Make Easier: Widen your feet for a more stable base, or drop to your knees and tap from there.

Make Harder: Bring your feet together and slow every tap down, or move on to Plank Punches to extend the arm further from your base.

I love the pictures, the variety, the amount of time it takes to complete a workout and how you can mix and match if you have a lot of energy or only repeat 3 times if you don’t feel like exercising. The website is awesome and I recommend it whenever I talk about fitness with other people. I cannot thank Darebee enough for how much this project has helped me in having a solid exercise routine and how to deal with exercise when tired, injured or when I don’t have much time.

I also love the concept of "exercise of the day". This website is just awesome. I came to know this website around 2025 since than it has been bookmarked in my browser. I request the developers to please launch the mobile app. I would absolutely love to see it's app on the app Store.
