Being kind to our self can be much easier than you might think. A simple, daily hug, given with sincerity and followed by a pat on the shoulders activates the neurotransmitters in the brain that make us feel loved and protected. In turn that makes us feel better about ourselves, reduces the levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, we experience and helps in clearing up our mind and improving not just how we feel but also how we think. And it takes so seemingly little to achieve.
