A better sense of balance will help you do every physical task better. Because balance is the result of a mind/body loop it will also help you develop better awareness of your body, the way it moves, feels and works and a better grasp of how your brain controls all this. Better physical control leads to better, overall, awareness of health and fitness and helps you redefine your own personal goals at a physical, mental and psychological level.
Instructions: Balance hold time is a total, change legs halfway through e.g., 4 minutes = 2 minutes per leg. Don't put your leg down during in one go side leg raises.
