DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Cardio
Type: Burn
Difficulty: level 1 of 5

Soft Reboot is a light, standing-only workout for restarting the system without losing your open tabs. March steps, reverse lunges, bicep extensions and arm circles - no floor work, no jumping, no dramatic fan noise. It's the workout equivalent of turning yourself off and on again: the gentlest fix in the manual, and famously the one that works.

The circuit runs without rest between exercises and restarts the body in two clean passes. The first row boots the lower half: march steps bracket 10 reverse lunges, so easy rhythmic movement warms the hips before and after the one genuinely strength-flavored exercise in the set. The second row boots the upper half the same way: bicep extensions bracket 10 arm circles, arms working through curls and full rotations at a load of exactly zero. The symmetry is the design - each half of the body gets a warm-up, a working block and a cool-down in miniature, which is why the whole thing leaves you refreshed rather than spent. Nothing here spikes the heart rate. Everything here reminds the muscles they exist, which on certain days is the entire assignment.

Keep march steps unhurried but deliberate - knees to a comfortable height, arms swinging naturally. Step reverse lunges back far enough for the front shin to stay vertical, and rise smoothly rather than lurching. Perform bicep extensions through a full curl and reach, and keep arm circles controlled at shoulder height, shoulders relaxed away from the ears.

No data lost, no files corrupted, all systems responsive again. The oldest fix in computing works on humans too.

Make it Harder: Double the reverse lunges and arm circles to 20 each.

Make it Easier: Halve every block to 5 reps and slow the pace to a stroll.

I really like this website. It doesn't make me overthink what to workout. I would just do one or two of these workouts, walk for 45 minutes and stretch. It makes me feel good.

Grateful for your promise in keeping this site accessible and free for people of all fitness levels & goals around the world. Found Darebee some time years ago and used to just save the workouts and then forget about them somewhere in my documents & to do later lists 😅 but coming back to the site this year I loved the organised/simple layout & navigation of the site with full workout video at bottom to see proper form and notes to make things easier or harder depending on your fitness/energy aswell as an extensive exercise library with joint friendly alternatives. I found it much easier to track/check off completed workouts & days on program/plan on dashboard, was more likely to remember & do it + advanced filter made it quick to find a doable workout. As a tiny way to support this site I made account and use the site exclusively for exercises now, will look to donate when I can 🙏🏽 and would recommend it to all I talk to regarding fitness. Thank you Darebee team for the great job you've all done here and keep up the good work. Blessings to you all.
