DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Fullbody
Type: Metcon
Difficulty: level 4 of 5

S-Rank is a bodyweight and combat hybrid named for the grade above the grades - the rating games hand out when a perfect score wasn't quite enough: 5 squats, 5 push-ups, 5 squats, 10 punches, 5 squat and punch combos, 10 more punches, and 5 final push-ups. Small numbers everywhere, because S-Rank was never about doing more. It is about doing it flawlessly.

The circuit is a technical exam disguised as a short workout. The opening block alternates squats and push-ups in sets of 5 - counts low enough that every single rep is visible, judgeable, and expected to be identical to the one before it. The middle section shifts to striking, and its centerpiece is the squat and punch combo: drop into a full squat, rise, and punch from the top, fusing a leg pattern and a strike into one flowing sequence that tests whether your movements connect cleanly or merely happen near each other. That transition quality - finishing one movement balanced enough to begin the next without a stutter - is precisely what separates an A from an S. The punches bracketing it build shoulder endurance through accumulating volume across sets, and the closing push-ups ask for five perfect reps from a body that would prefer to submit four decent ones.

Squat to full depth with your chest tall - at five reps, a shallow squat is not a small flaw, it is 20 percent of the set. Push-ups run chest-low, body in one line, every rep a clone of the first. Punch from a proper guard with hip rotation and a snappy return. In the squat and punch combos, complete the stand fully before the punch leaves - rushing the seam between the two is exactly the sloppiness the combo exists to expose.

Anyone can clear the level. The S is for clearing it so cleanly the game has nothing left to say.

Make it Harder: Double the squat and punch combos to 10 and keep every rep seamless.

Make it Easier: Take the push-ups from your knees and slow the combos down until the seam is smooth.

I really like this website. It doesn't make me overthink what to workout. I would just do one or two of these workouts, walk for 45 minutes and stretch. It makes me feel good.

Grateful for your promise in keeping this site accessible and free for people of all fitness levels & goals around the world. Found Darebee some time years ago and used to just save the workouts and then forget about them somewhere in my documents & to do later lists 😅 but coming back to the site this year I loved the organised/simple layout & navigation of the site with full workout video at bottom to see proper form and notes to make things easier or harder depending on your fitness/energy aswell as an extensive exercise library with joint friendly alternatives. I found it much easier to track/check off completed workouts & days on program/plan on dashboard, was more likely to remember & do it + advanced filter made it quick to find a doable workout. As a tiny way to support this site I made account and use the site exclusively for exercises now, will look to donate when I can 🙏🏽 and would recommend it to all I talk to regarding fitness. Thank you Darebee team for the great job you've all done here and keep up the good work. Blessings to you all.
