DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Fullbody
Type: Metcon
Difficulty: level 4 of 5

Redux is a full-body workout built on the principle its name announces: everything comes back. Jumping lunges, push-ups and reverse lunges each appear twice, in the same order, before shoulder taps arrive to close the set - the second act a deliberate revival of the first, performed on legs and arms that remember exactly how it went last time.

The repetition is the entire design, and it is sharper than simple doubling. The first pass runs hot: explosive jumping lunges into an open-ended push-up block - that 4+ is an invitation to do more while you still can. The second pass revisits the same territory at a different temperature: reverse lunges replace the jumps, trading explosion for controlled, deliberate strength through the identical movement pattern, and the push-ups return to ask whether your chest has anything left to add. Power version first, strength version second, the same story told twice with different emphasis. The closing shoulder taps are the epilogue - anti-rotation work on shoulders that have now been through two push-up blocks and would like to speak to a manager.

Switch your legs in the air on jumping lunges and land soft, sinking straight into the next rep. Treat every 4+ honestly - the plus means at least, so add reps while your form holds and stop the moment it bends. Step back with control in the reverse lunges, driving up through the front heel. Keep your hips dead still through the shoulder taps; after two rounds of everything, stillness is the hardest rep in the set.

The sequel is never easier than the original. Redux makes it the whole workout.

Make it Harder: Turn every 4+ into a genuine max effort set.

Make it Easier: Swap the jumping lunges for regular lunges at speed.

I have always wanted to find a place that would meet me at my level wherever I am, encourage me to stay motivated, fit in my busy schedule, not require a gym membership, offer variety, be fun, help me feel like part of a team without leaving my house, and still be affordable. That has been my dream. So Darebee.com makes my dream a reality. It does all that and more. I would highly, highly recommend this site to absolutely anyone.

BUT what I think is at least as great is the design and functionality of the website. It is just so clean and well organized. I love the filter functions, they work very well and you can find exactly what you need in seconds. Also the bookmark feature is just awesome! The way you can organize the bookmarks, create different collections and sort them so efficiently is very thoughtful and way better than I have seen it on many bigger platforms. I think it is just an example where one can see that the Darebee team not only strives to create the best workouts but for excellence on every level. Tank you! You are doing an awesome job!

After more than a decade, and after trying countless websites and apps, it's still my number one choice for workout plans and creative exercise inspiration. Unlike other apps and sites, the full experience is available regardless of ability to pay; even when the job market has been tough, Darebee has been there with accessible, effective workouts to help keep me on track when other obstacles crop up. Whether it's a full workout, or a little challenge to supplement other routines, Darebee has ALWAYS had me covered. The wide variety of skill levels available means that I can find something, even if injured, tired, or simply out of practice. Need to work on something specific? Pick a challenge for it. Injured? Rehab workouts and exercise alternatives abound. Not sure how to use all those dumbbells you somehow acquired over the years? No problem--you can find workouts with that equipment. In conclusion: Darebee is pretty rad; an awesome, effective resource, that anybody who needs a bit of sweat and strength in their lives can appreciate. Thanks to the Darebee team for their dedication, hard work, and commitment!
