DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Upperbody
Type: Strength
Difficulty: level 5 of 5

Push-Up lvl999 is a push-up workout for players who have finished the base game: seven variations, two reps each, run as one continuous gauntlet - standard push-ups, one-leg push-ups, uneven push-ups, tricep push-ups, wide push-ups, cross push-ups and side-to-side push-ups. Fourteen total reps per set. It sounds trivial until you read the character sheet.

Two reps each is the entire design philosophy, and it is pure endgame logic: at max level, the challenge is no longer grinding volume, it is executing rare techniques cleanly on the first attempt. Each variation shifts the load somewhere new - one-leg push-ups remove a point of contact and tax the core, uneven push-ups load one arm more than the other, tricep push-ups narrow the hands and hammer the arms, wide push-ups stretch the chest across a broader arc, cross push-ups add a rotational element, and side-to-side push-ups shift your weight laterally through the rep. With only two reps per variation, there is no settling into a groove; your body must solve seven different mechanical puzzles in quick succession, adapting hand position, weight distribution and bracing every fourteen reps. That constant re-solving is the skill being farmed here.

Treat every pair of reps as its own boss attempt: set your hands deliberately for each variation before lowering. Keep your body in one line throughout - the exotic variations tempt the hips to sag or pike, and neither is permitted at this level. Lower until your chest is near the floor on every variation that allows it, and move between variations without collapsing out of the plank; the transitions are part of the fight.

Level 999 was never about doing more push-ups. It is about there being no push-up you cannot do.

Make it Harder: Raise every variation to 4 reps and keep the transitions unbroken.

Make it Easier: Take the whole gauntlet from your knees and learn the hand positions first.

Grateful for your promise in keeping this site accessible and free for people of all fitness levels & goals around the world. Found Darebee some time years ago and used to just save the workouts and then forget about them somewhere in my documents & to do later lists 😅 but coming back to the site this year I loved the organised/simple layout & navigation of the site with full workout video at bottom to see proper form and notes to make things easier or harder depending on your fitness/energy aswell as an extensive exercise library with joint friendly alternatives. I found it much easier to track/check off completed workouts & days on program/plan on dashboard, was more likely to remember & do it + advanced filter made it quick to find a doable workout. As a tiny way to support this site I made account and use the site exclusively for exercises now, will look to donate when I can 🙏🏽 and would recommend it to all I talk to regarding fitness. Thank you Darebee team for the great job you've all done here and keep up the good work. Blessings to you all.
