Leo is a full-body workout from the DAREBEE zodiac series, built for the sign that rules the heart, the spine and the spotlight. High knees, jump squats, reverse lunges, shoulder taps, tricep dips and a leg raise hold - a set that prowls through cardio, explosive power, pressing support and core, finishing with a held position because a lion's final move is always a pose. Fire sign energy, fixed sign discipline: burn bright, but burn on schedule.
The circuit runs without rest between exercises and moves like a hunt. It opens in motion - 10 high knees to raise the pulse - then strikes: 3 jump squats, a small count with maximal intent, the pounce rather than the chase. Ten reverse lunges follow, loading each leg separately with the patient, deliberate work that builds a hunter's stride. Then the set drops to the floor for the pride's less glamorous labor: shoulder taps against rotation and tricep dips for the arms, before the closing statement - a 10-count leg raise hold, legs extended and hovering, the core holding court while gravity files its objection. Ending on a hold suits the sign exactly: Leo doesn't leave the stage quickly, and neither does this set.
Drive high knees to hip height with light feet. Make all 3 jump squats full-depth and explosive - the low count is a quality contract, not a discount. Keep the front shin vertical on reverse lunges. Pin the hips still during shoulder taps, bend from the elbows in dips with the hips riding high, and in the final hold, press the lower back gently toward the floor as the legs hover.
The lion doesn't do extra takes. Three perfect jump squats, one regal hold, and the kingdom is satisfied.
Make it Harder: Extend the leg raise hold to a 20-count and bump the jump squats to 5.
Make it Easier: Swap jump squats for regular squats and bend the knees during the closing hold.
