Gravity Check Workout - complete workout card with exercises and reps
DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Fullbody
Type: Strength
Difficulty: level 5 of 5

Gravity Check is an isometric strength workout that pits you against the one opponent who never gets tired. Seven poses, held for a 10-count each, take you from a standing squat all the way down to the bottom of a push-up - and gravity contests every single one. There are no reps here. There is only you, a position, and the growing awareness of exactly how much you weigh.

This one works differently from the usual DAREBEE circuit: instead of sets, you flow through all seven holds in order, then repeat the entire sequence on the other side to balance the single-leg positions. The order is a controlled descent. It starts with squat variations that shift progressively deeper and up onto the toes, migrates to the floor for plank and single-leg plank holds, and bottoms out in a low push-up hold - the position where gravity's leverage against you is greatest. Isometric holds like these force muscles to fire continuously without the micro-breaks hidden inside a rep, building tendon strength, joint stability and positional endurance you can't get from movement alone.

Count honestly - a fast 10 is a way of losing to yourself. In the squat holds, keep weight in your heels (until the toe pose asks otherwise) and chest lifted. In the raised-leg plank positions, lift the leg from the glute and keep hips square to the floor rather than rotating open. In the low push-up hold, elbows stay tucked at your sides and your body stays one rigid line an inch or two off the floor.

Gravity checked. Turns out you hold up.

Make it Harder: Extend every hold to a 20-count.

Make it Easier: Hold the low push-up positions from your knees, keeping the body straight from knees to head.

Grateful for your promise in keeping this site accessible and free for people of all fitness levels & goals around the world. Found Darebee some time years ago and used to just save the workouts and then forget about them somewhere in my documents & to do later lists 😅 but coming back to the site this year I loved the organised/simple layout & navigation of the site with full workout video at bottom to see proper form and notes to make things easier or harder depending on your fitness/energy aswell as an extensive exercise library with joint friendly alternatives. I found it much easier to track/check off completed workouts & days on program/plan on dashboard, was more likely to remember & do it + advanced filter made it quick to find a doable workout. As a tiny way to support this site I made account and use the site exclusively for exercises now, will look to donate when I can 🙏🏽 and would recommend it to all I talk to regarding fitness. Thank you Darebee team for the great job you've all done here and keep up the good work. Blessings to you all.
